Car needs charged, wifes car in the way, John Deere in the other garage slot on a jack and waiting on the new tires to be installed tomorrow.

Guess I'll have to head over to the IONNA chargers by DQ, fill it up and order a Snickers Blizzard.

Since GM installed the ability to watch movies, have to see what's on Prime, I'll be able to start a movie, eat some DQ Ice Cream and charge the car.

What's a guy to do....

Dang nab it they were out of vanilla, how the heck does a DQ run out of Vanilla ice cream!

Charging went quick the IONNA chargers are the bomb, quicker than the older Teslas around here, I don't have to go out to charge as we can do it at home for much less, but hey, Ice Cream on a hot summer evening....

last road trip I went to Birmingham from ATL. Stopped at a Buccees just outside. Topped off on the Tesla Charger in 10 mins or so while I went in and got some Beef Jerky. Did same thing on the way home. Ate a Brisket Sandwich for dinner while it topped off. By the time I could buy a sandwich, drink and eat it. Was good to go.

But How do they run out of Vanilla? Unless things have changed. When I worked there as a kid they had a huge holding tank full of the ice cream mix that was delivered and pumped in. All other flavors was made of this vanilla sugar cream mix.

Even cheaper than charging at home, it's free at a few locations in the area. Apopka Pubic Works parking lot has free chargers, Whole Foods on 436 in Altamonte Springs.

I can charge my LYRIQ for free at any GM dealer. Does Chevrolet give you the same option?

It's a good thing that I live 90ish miles from the nearest Dairy Queen. Otherwise I'd weigh 300 pounds. It is a (roughly) monthly treat for me and I maintain my svelte 210. Big Grin

I have recently discovered that DQ soft serve is not legally ice cream. I was initially disappointed in this but finally realized that it still tasted good so it didn't really matter. I think all soft serve is not technically ice cream.

There are a few "free" chargers around me but they are all slow chargers, the City building has two but I'd die of old age before it pumped the car up enough, might use it if I go to Chick-Fil-A down the road or maybe my dentist but it's a fair walk.

If you need a super fast charge, find an IONNA station near you, they are less than Tesla and EVGO and faster, and new....
