There is the toughest thing to deal with, at least for me. Any suggestions?

Zaino Z-12 if its your auto glass.

CLR if it’s in your shower.

Your choice hard water spot remover and a very fine steel wool or bronze wool.

Decent product, but it won't do any good on auto windows unless you prep them first (i.e. remove all the existing water spots and contaminants). Glass is a bitch to prep given how hard it is, and how contaminants can etch into it.

I agree with this and you should use 4-o .sold at amazon or wal-mart.
4 0 polishes the glass

make a paste out of barkeepers friend and polish lightly.

IMAR makes an excellent glass polish. The one Suppressed linked to. I use it a lot on yacht windows. Polish them out according to the directions and then rain-x afterwards.

If it is a car or a boat I wouldn't go anywhere near it with steel wool!
On my vehicles I polish the windows, inside and out, with Aqua Tech Water Spot remover. I follow up outside with Rain X.
On the boat that I run I used to use that method but switched to a different system called Clear Glass. It lasts a lot longer than Rain X. I wouldn't spend the money to use on a car or truck though. I DO use the Aqua Tech and Rain X on the shower doors.
The key with any system is polishing the window properly.
