Would you like

I recently purchased a Dan Wesson Valor.

I would like to carry it in a belt holster, pancake style with a thumb strap.

I have seen BRL's work, fantastic, but he isn't taking orders.

Can you recommend others that you have had good experience with?

I want nice, not cheap. DeSantis works well, but seems fairly poor quality.

Thanks!

Doug

They look ok, but no thumb strap...

I like the leather more molded to the gun, and want a thumb strap for it.

Mitch Rosen, BRL, seems more to my interest, just checking others experience.

With no disrespect to holster makers currently active on the forum, but I've used High Noon Holsters.

They worked with me on two new-to-market pistols without me pulling out calibers or doing a SIG RMA or two until things fit. ("SIG" is German for RMA.) HNH has great leather and build quality in general. I got on to their stuff when Don Hume killed their webstore and HNH made a couple visits here ages ago.

High Noon Holsters ... currently running a 25% off sale.

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

My absolute favorite custom holster maker
is www.thorshammercustomleather.com
His shop is in Tucson. I've used him for
my yaqui holsters. He makes anything you want.
He doesn't use a machine to cut or stitch...all
by hand seriously custom.
Stay safe.

Bought one of these from Davis Leather just about a month ago. Excellent workmanship and materials and a time tested design!

Maybe we could move this thread to the holster sticky in hopes of continuing to list info where we can always find it?

Some awesome suggestions, thanks!

I am leaning towards Mitch Rosen, a 5JR w/ Thumb Break. The optional lining will take it to $215...

Really intriguing options, will continue to look over suggestions.
