Get a TC electronic Ditto looper pedal. It's the best I've ever used and I've used quite a few of them. Very simple and easy to use, I believe that they produce a couple different variations, thenone incurrently use has a single foot pedal and it's very intuitive with minimal tap dancing to get things going. Plenty of quality demo vids on YouTube

So much fun!

Great guitar ... but that many controls would have me tinkering with them for nights on end. I think that is why I typically pick up a Telecaster.

I've been reading for awhile now that Brazilian rosewood will dry up, it's farther reaching than that.

quote:
The Convention of International Trade of Endangered Species of Flora and Fauna (CITES) held a conference from September 24 - October 4 [2016] in Johannesburg, South Africa where it was decided that all species of rosewood under the genus Dalbergia and three bubinga species (Guibourtia demeusei, Guibourtia pellegriniana, and Guibourtia tessmannii) will be protected under CITES Appendix II.

Kosso - sometimes called African rosewood (Pterocarpus erinaceus) - will also be protected.

While Brazilian Rosewood is currently under CITES protection (those laws will stay in place), this move places all the other nearly 300 species of rosewood under similar regulation.

This includes the East Indian rosewood and Honduran rosewood - as well as woods like cocobolo (Dalbergia retusa) and African blackwood (Dalbergia melanoxylon) - that are widely used in the manufacturing of stringed instruments, marimbas and some woodwinds.

If you're partial to rosewood or cocobolo for your 1911, you may already be too late. As luck would have it, I prefer maple necks. Really nice guitar

fwiw, I'm quite a fan of the vocal/mic-level Ditto, it's a great little box. I suspect the Guitar one and the Dual one are fine, for what the are, and many use BOSS but I'm not into them.

My requirements for an Instrument-level/Guitar Looper includes the ability to sync to an external clock, which rules out most. In addition to being syncable, the Pigtronix offers many other features too, like being able to hook it up via USB and drag and drop loops (any loops, yours, drum loops, anything)... but maybe it's more than you need. Check it out (the Infinity model). The lack of tempo sync turned me off to most others, and for my purposes Tap Tempo isn't always adequate or convenient enough. ymmv

R k9 J, That is a beautiful Tele for sure but the one I want has a humbucker neck pick up and coil splitting capability so you get the best of both worlds. I wouldn't be surprised if Fender offered it later this year or next as a part of their offset line up.

My first electric was a Fender Jag bought used in 1975. I eventually traded in to buy my first Les Paul. Sure wished I had kept it now but when your young sometimes you don't realize what your doing.

Holy smokes!!! This Jaguar is INCREDIBLE! On single coil with boost/ low cut switch on it is super clean and jangly but with the flick of a switch it goes dirty as hell. I love love love this hot rodded Jag and its versatility! My old VM Jag suddenly feels ordinary. Big Grin
