I just purchased the Jaguar that I have been wanting for a very long time. I discovered Fender is phasing out rosewood fingerboards on this Jag for some kind of new "more sustainable" tone wood called Pau Ferro that apparently sounds ok. That was enough for me to pull the trigger and get a Fender Jaguar Classic Player Special HH with a rosewood fingerboard. This thing should rival my Fender Mustang Special in regards to the various tonal options. I think I'm done buying guitars for a while now! Big Grin

Nice!

I nearly bought a Fender George Harrison rosewood Telecaster back in August but thought better of spending $2,500.

I don't play much electric anymore, don't even have one as I play all acoustic these days. But I sometimes have GAS for an electric.

I played one identical to yours back in the 60’s. I paid a couple hundred bucks for it and sold it ten years later for near nothing.

Then the Fender rage was for tele’s and strat’s. Enjoy your new axe.

Oz_Shadow, nah man. I'm done for a while. Unless Fender America offers their offset tele HS in something that isn't a super low production/ special release.....yeah...I'm still mad I didn't snatch up one of these when they were available. I'm done for a while. Big Grin

The Jaguar has such a unique sound, with the right pedals and amp....awesome. I played my son's Tele and Jag when he wasn't looking and felt that one day I might actually know what I was doing.

What do you guys recommend as a decent looper pedal in the $100-250 range? I have been playing A LOT lately and really want to start messing around with a looper. They look like a lot of fun.

There is but one Looper worth owning, IMO, and it's made by Pigtronix, but it's more $$.

I love Jaguars. When you get bored with your playing, picking up one of these can inspire you to play and create new sounds again.

Ok, I have a new favorite guitar. THIS THING FRICKIN ROCKS!!!! I am LOVING the blend control on the humbuckers. I probably have mild ADD and all these switches and controls are like a dream come true. This thing is so versatile and it sounds fantastic. Big Grin

So much fun!

I don't think I am smart enough to work a guitar with that many switches.

It looks good. I am glad you like it.

I have the Boss RC-3 Looper stationg and I like it a lot. I use it all the time.

If you want to go up to 300 the DigiTech Trio+ Band Creator and Looper Pedal is amazing. It is a looper. But more - get this - if you play a chord sequence it will process it and add bass and drums - in a style of your choosing. It has multiple options so you can have different sections to your tune and it will attempt to adapt to all of them. Verse, Chorus, and bridge.

I have a friend who has one and it is just really good at basic accompaniment. Really cool technology.
