Exactly the decision to which I came a couple hours ago. Went out and hit some balls. Went well. Went back out an hour later to hit some more. Went miserably. Threw my club halfway across the yard. That was it. I'm out. I said, when I started this, that the first time I threw a club I was out. I'm out. I've already given away some stuff to my neighbors on either side. Called up the guy who gave me some clubs. He'll stop by soon to pick them up. I'll be returning the bulk of the clubs, and the bag, I was given to the family that gave them to me. Just have a couple items to sell and figure out what to do with the brand-new driving/chipping mat that arrived today. Maybe give that away, too. Good luck to the OP. Hope it works out better for you than it did for me. "America is at that awkward stage. I posted the above earlier in the thread. I will say this now. Get out with your sanity and what is left of your wallet before it gets worse. There was only one “aha” moment for me. It was the moment that I decided not to punish myself further. Have not picked up a club since. YMMV. | |||

Having a couple beers with the neighbor that turned me on to this, I actually found myself feeling relieved at having decided to drop it. That's when I realized it had somehow become a burden. Weird. It was like when we sold our boats. Sad to see them go, but relieved they were gone. Like that. "America is at that awkward stage.
