I went to a rummage sale last Saturday, a small town museum selling out. Paid a few bucks for this cast iron housing but what is it? Measures 9 1/2" across.

Perhaps a mount for a landscape or building decorative spotlight, missing the crystal, of course. Should be a hole for the electrical feed, maybe by the mounting bolt.

The small round hole on top doesn't run to the inside. Only part that does would be along side the mounting bolt on the bottom.
