Well, last night was mine.

It was actually a pretty good time.

While I wrestled and ran track, I did not fit in to one clique, I pretty much got along with everyone. Well except for one or two assholes

One theme for sure, less hair, more mass.

Out of a class of 185, they located 115. Sadly, 8 that we know of have passed.

Overall, I would say the women have aged better than us guys.

Lots of good memories. I am glad I went.

Have you recently attended a class reunion? If so, how was it?

I had my 40th three years ago. I organized it from a distance, which was a pain in the ass, but worth it. We mostly had a blast.

Like you said, less hair, more mass, yet surprisingly, there were several who looked just as I remembered them.

We'll probably do something for 45 and definitely for 50.

Went to my 50th in 2005, missed the 60th in 2015. Maybe can make the 70th in 2025 (God willing).

At the 50th, there were several who looked pretty much as I remembered them; and a lot of others I could see the resemblance to their former appearance. Since I grew a beard, not many recognized me by my face, but they all did when I spoke. (I apparently have a distinctive voice.)

I attended my 50th last year. I would agree that the years have lain more lightly on the women than the men (except for one or two of them), maybe they are just trying harder. It was great seeing so many of my old friends again, and sadness too for missing classmates lost to the big killers of our time: Vietnam, AIDs, drug abuse, and auto crashes.

Just hit my 40th too. I've stayed in contact with many of my old friends via email and phone calls. I had a great time.

My 50th is Sept 20 and I'm going. I've made all mine except the last one, #45, and I was in hospital recovering from a heart attack. Our class was big, around 500, and the reunions are well attended. Looking forward to it.

I jailed a good number of my classmates. Watched others as they fell into poverty, domestic abuse, drug use and alcohol problems. Attended a couple of classmate suicides, too.
Thats all the HS memories I need.

Never been to one. Even my wife's. I have only seen them in movies. High school was basically another life. The last time I saw any of my HS friends was at my dad's funeral, close to 25 years ago.

Never been to one. My 50th was this year and I only attended that HS for a year and a half. I don’t remember the names or the faces of any of them. I didn’t buy a yearbook either. I’m actually surprised they found me.

Went to my 30th in 2016 and kinda glad I did.
I never went to the 10 or 20 year and it was nice to see some people.
Some changed drastically and others gracefully if you know what I mean. Damn good thing we had name tags on because some I didn't recognize at all.

My 30th was this summer and I skipped it too.

I don't plan on ever going to one of these. My high school years were terrible for me and I have no desire to relive them, regardless of the length of the passage of time.

My 40th is end of this month. We should have 25 out of 72 there. Lots of activities planned.

I'm going to my 50th on September 21.

I'm going just to show others that I'm still alive, and probably in better shape than most of them.

The last time I went, to my 30th I think, it was a pretty dreary affair. This one is being held in the same place.

My sense is that organizers of these reunions are the type who never had a better life once high school was over, and they insist on living in their memories. High school wasn't a great experience for me (college, on the other hand...) so I expect I'll make an appearance and then leave for something more entertaining.

I have been to all three class reunions 10,20 and 30 years. I have always has a good time. Our high school has a long and proud tradition so the reunions have always been well attended. The 30th saw many who hadn't ever attended before. I always have learned more things about classmates and school each time. For me it has always been worth it. I guess it's a lot about how your classmates were and how your time in school was.

Peggy Sue got married. Saw this in 1986 when it first came out. Enjoyed the film. Here is a brief review from Roger Ebert:

I graduated in 1980.
Out of 3 kids (2 siblings) I was the only one that had a formal graduation.

As far as reunions go, I've never been to one and have no intention of doing so.
I didn't like any of them then, I'm sure I wouldn't like any of them now.

The wife on the other hand, has been to several of her reunions.
Catholic school her entire childhood.
Going to her reunion was the first time I ever drank beer in church..

Glad some of you had better experiences in high school than I did.
Life is good...

I have never attended a class reunion, and it's been 47 years since I graduated.

Blew my 40th off this year. I've never gone to one. Just don't want to see most of those people anymore. I was a nerd in the shadows for the most part. I've gotten used to that now. No regrets. I have a good life now. I don't want to look back. I can understand how one would want to see everyone and reminisce if one had a better experience.
