French intellectual Renaud Camus has been given a 2 month suspended prison sentence for saying that mass immigration into Europe represents an “invasion.

Camus will only avoid jail by paying 1800 euros to two “anti-racist” organizations, SOS Racisme and the LICRA (International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism).

The writer, who is the author of Le Grand Remplacement (The Great Replacement), was charged with “public incitement to hate or violence on the basis of origin, ethnicity, nationality, race or religion.”

The conviction stems from a November 2017 speech in Colombey-les-deux Eglises to the National Council of European Resistance in which Camus declared, “Immigration has become an invasion.”

“The irreversible colonization is demographic colonization, by the replacement of the population,” said the author, adding,

“The ethnic substitution, the great replacement, is the most important event in the history of our nation since it has existed; as with other people, if the story continues, it will not be that of France.”

Camus also called for a “national consensus of resistance” to oppose Islamization in “the struggle for the salvation of our common civilization, Celtic, Slavic, Germanic, Greek-Latin, Judeo-Christian.”

The part of Camus’ speech that specifically garnered the attention of judges was when he talked about European people being replaced.

Camus said mass immigration “is the substitution, the tendency to substitute everything with its emulator, normalized, standardized, interchangeable: The original with its copy, the authentic with its imitation, the true with the false, the mothers with surrogate mothers, the culture with free time and entertainment.”


France suffers Islamic terror attacks on such a routine basis that it’s barely even an important news story anymore. Many of those terrorists are radicalized by mosques that escape any police scrutiny, but Camus must be punished for his crime of opinion.

And there you have it. Free speech is now a crime in France.

I truly wonder how many people know how important, and unique, our First Amendment is. But of course there are plenty of people here who would eagerly embrace its repeal so that the same sort of speech could be made a crime here as well.

The first amendment seems to no longer apply in NYC. They passed a law where you cannot call an illegal alien and Illegal Alien or Illegal. How is this not a violation of freedom of speech?

I am going to use some words here, that definitely do NOT reflect my thoughts or feelings; I am using them to illustrate an argument.

According to the article linked by Sigfreund, calling somebody an illegal alien can result in a fine up to a quarter of a million dollars in NYC.

I wonder whether there are similar fines under that law, for using words like nigger, kike, spic, wop, jap, chink, polack, etc.

Of course not; the leftists have moved onto a new flavor of the day to try and develop into a voting pool.

People who want to ban hate speech seem to always overlook the fact that (i) someone else gets to decide what constitutes “hate speech” and (ii) that someone is going to constantly change. If history has taught us anything it’s that once you give a power to government, any government, that power rarely shrinks or stays the same—it almost always grows.

A leaked classified document from the French internal security service, the General Directorate for Internal Security (DGSI), has claimed that as many as 150 neighbourhoods across France are “held” by Islamist radicals.

The confidential DGSI report maps out the 150 different neighbourhoods which consist of the notorious Seine-Saint-Denis no-go suburbs of Paris, the suburbs of Lyon and Marseille, all of which have had longstanding issues with radical Islam, newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche reports.

According to the paper, the report also lists the commune of Maubeuge along the Belgian border in the north of France, highlighting the fact that the Union of French Muslim Democrats (UDMF), a Muslim political party, reached as high as 40 per cent in polls and noted, “the situation is alarming.”

Last month, the UDFM announced it would be fielding lists of candidates for the upcoming municipal elections, set to be held in March.

The party said they would be putting up candidates in Mantes-la-Jolie, Les Mureaux and Guyancourt, and won 16.74 per cent of the vote in the district of Val-Fourre in Mantes-la-Jolie in last year’s European Parliament elections.

Areas such as Haute-Savoie or Ain, Annemasse, Bourg-en-Bresse, Oyonnax or Bourgoin-Jallieu have also come under the influence of radical Islamists.

President Emmanuel Macron has spoken out about ghettoisation and communitarianism, and the Élysée Palace has promised to provide a plan to tackle the issue ahead of the municipal elections.

Last year, largely as part of Macron’s overall plan to combat radical Islam, the French government shut down mosques and schools in 15 neighbourhoods across the country.

French Secretary of State for the Interior Laurent Nuñez said that the government had closed a total of 130 drinking establishments, 12 places of worship, three schools and nine associations as part of the National Plan for the Prevention of Radicalization (PNPR) but did not name the neighbourhoods involved.
