I routinely tell other folks Alexas to do things, like when checking on my daughters house, they have it playing some contemporary music, then they come home to Alexa playing Polka Tunes.

Next time they are gone I'ma gonna order dog treats and catnip for delivery...

That's taking it to an entirely new level of not reading entire thread. Can we actually post now without even OPENING the thread? That's awesome!

My friend is terrified of sharks. Every so often I will tell her Alexa to set a 2 am alarm to the jaws theme.

I laugh, her Alexa laughs and she calls us both a bunch of dirty words

Well, if amazon would buy pornhub, problem solved. And since you can order from someone else’s Alexa...

Sure. They could also hear you when you get intimate with your wife/girlfriend, when you fight with each other, when you talk about the neighbors or the in-laws. Whatever. But if all you ever say in the vicinity of your Amazon Echo device is "Turn on the kitchen lights", than that's all it will ever hear, sure.

- The check's in the mail.

- Of course I will respect you in the morning.

- Amazon will never use Alexa to eavesdrop on U.S. citizens.

Has anyone noticed that Alexa is black and is a house servant? How racist is that?
