Cabin ever is setting in, and bemoaning we were supposed to be in Kent UK at a retirement party for a guy who worked for me for 30 years. I've got a couple of cans of Boddington's, and 6 tall cans of Murphy's stout. Who has a great recipe for fish and chips?

I have had good results making the batter with Indian chickpea flour ( which is available in Indian grocery stores, and Indian people call it "besan", pronounced "bay-son"). Didnt use beer to make the batter, but added some cumin powder and some chili powder, and the fish and chips tasted real good.

If you think you can, YOU WILL!!!!!

100% this. I really like using Newcastle as it has a nice nutty flavor but Guinness is also pretty good.

Be sure to season the flower with salt and pepper and dredge the fish first
