Another vote for the Logitech(wireless). I pack them up when I travel to use with the laptop and it became so handy I use it all the time now. I have an extra I'll send you if you want to give it a shot.

Dude I have a metric ass ton of wired mice I can’t give away, if you want some. Everyone of my coworkers wants wireless. Ping me if you want them/some.

EDIT - They’re all Lenovo or Dell branded but they’ll do the job.

I recommend either

Amazon Basics 3-Button Wired USB Computer Mouse, Black $6.82

or

Logitech B100 Corded Mouse – Wired USB Mouse for Computers and laptops $6.99

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I am using the Logitech wired mouse listed above - no problems. (Got tired of buying stupid batteries for my un-wired mouses!)

I want to do nothing but help you and I think you are making a significat mistake. As for durable, yes it is durable. Strong enough in fact to shatter a 30inch monitor if thrown hard enough, and keep ticking. (It was a really bad day).

Take the deal fine sir!
No need to go MX Master 3, the MX Master 2S is currently $69 on Amazon and is comparable in most every way to the 3. I know because I recently bought a 2S to replace an original MX Master I had for seven years. It's simply an astoundingly good mouse given all its capabilities.

Para,

I completely understand your having an affinity for a particular mouse. And being frustrated that it is out of production.

For me it has been the Microsoft Trackball Explorer. Long out of production and commanding insane prices for NIB ($478 on Amazon) and near new units. Thankfully there are artisans who will rebuild them. Not the external finish but clean/adjust/replace the internal bearings, switches, springs, buttons, etc. plus polish the ball. I bought mine new back in 1999-2000 and finally had it rebuilt in 2018 after it became "flaky" trying alternatives unsuccessfully for several years. For me the near $70 refurbishment at the time was well worth it.

My very well used one with much of the silver coating worn off.

I have that mouse and it is great. Comfy, accurate, durable, versatile. I am a heavy PC user, and the good mouse is well worth it for me. Bluetooth and dongles are mature tech, and are robust.

Logictec makes several wired three button mice, though, and some are under $20.

Any of the MX master mice do nicely. Don't fear the wireless, it's solid & they come with eneloop AA batteries too. I have a plethora of generations still in use - no problems. Use the USB receiver for the most reliability vs bluetooth, but on my newer work laptop, MX master 2 & bluetooth have played nice. I keep the USB receiver in the dock for a logitec keyboard, speaking of, the K360 is cheap, small & reliable.

Logitech MX Master. Anything Logitech.

The new Logitech software and all that configuration nonsense is sadly part of the deal.

I use five logitech mouses every day. They live at various offices. One PC connects to all.

Yeah, but most people don't need the super low latency of a gaming mouse.

That MS model is what I used to buy years ago. I found one in a drawer that I just checked and works. No claims on life left, but I haven't used it in years and seems to still be in pretty good shape.

Let me know if you're interested (no charge). I probably can't send it until middle of this coming week.
