The latest Firefox came out on July 1st and broke my autoplay settings. It was a little weird because it was inconsistant. If I opened a link to a youtube video in an existing tab, the video would autoplay. If I opened it in a new tab then it wouldn't play. After 5 days of this pissing me off, I finally found the settings to adjust on Reddit.

The corresponding setting is actually media.autoplay.blocking_policy = 2, based on my testing and what's said in bug 1509933.
