I have a Jenn-Aire dual fuel range purchased circa 1997 that has recently been throwing an F3 error (along with an occasional F1 error) after about 20 minutes of operation. I cannot find the model plate anywhere on the range, but I wrote down JD58850AAS on the installation manual when it was installed, and the diagram for this model number at Trible's website appears to match my range.

I replaced the temperature probe without effect. I think I need a new "clock module" part #74007240 but I cannot find this part available anywhere online, or calling local repair places. I prefer to replace this myself, but I will pay someone to do it if they insist.

Any hints on where I might be able to find this part, an appropriate substitute, or another strategy to fix this issue? I am already aware of the "buy a new damn range" option. Smile

No input on the part, but Brad hasn’t posted in about half a year - perhaps he’s taking a forum break?

I too have a JennAire when we built in 1993 (all electric). About 3 years ago our clock/timer control unit went out and I tried to get it repaired by the local JennAire folks—no luck. The clock unit is obsolete but the range and oven unit portions still work OK as separate controls; I just can’t turn on the oven to clean. Repair guys said “planned obsolescence”—good luck.

I'm not familiar with this company but if you're reasonably sure the board is bad and can get it out, they may be able to help you.

Contact Reliable Parts 888-408-3302.

They have one left in their Tukwilla branch.

After that, they're all gone.
