Funny story here. 37 year old lawyer who lives with her parents arrested for egging cars. The charge is "molesting a standing motor vehicle". Must be some quirk in Oklahoma law. Here is the story:

Don't worry. Mommy and Daddy will bail her out of jail. I imagine they have spent their lifetimes coddling that bad egg.

The salesmen who sold me my last Harley was also an attorney. He was a nut but that's kind of why I liked him.

You probably got a good deal because he needed bond money. Sounds like a piece of work. Probably would be interesting guy to hang out with.

They are probably drafting a carefully worded response or perhaps ignoring the thread.

His last name fits - and now he is one.

A lawyer and an engineer were fishing in the Caribbean.

The lawyer said, 'I'm here because my house burned down, and all I owned was destroyed by the fire. The insurance company paid for everything and I'm using some of the insurance money for this trip.'

'That's quite a coincidence,' said the engineer. 'I'm here because my house and all my belongings were destroyed by a flood, and my insurance company also paid for everything.'

The lawyer looked confused... 'How do you start a flood?'

These things happen.

One of my classmates did the same thing. Unfortunately, he is not the only one who has disgraced himself in the same way.

It's not that hard to handle other people's money properly, and almost impossible to get back right once you head down that path.

Embezzling, bribing judges, fencing stolen property, and more besides..... what chaps my butt is that many times these crooks serve some time, go to stupid study and "Sunday school" ethics courses and get their tickets back. That ought not happen.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Sadly you have to pay to see the story you describe in the LEGAL INTELLIGENCE. Did read the first few lines for free though, something about murder and a sex club plan. Any salacious details to offer?

HA! I'm in Nichols Hills this afternoon, it's a very wealthy old money area. All I can say after a pleasant interaction with a NH police officer, the short answer is "dumbass".

I don't have any salacious details...I barely knew him. He was an acquaintance of my employer.
Definitely fits the lawyers behaving badly theme though!
