She was just in this campaign for the money. She started some sort of foundation/charity after the horrible storm that hit St. Louis. Most of that money went to her PAC with none going to helping the people affected by the storm. We in the St. Louis area have been barraged with campaign ads with every one out of three being from Bell, her main opponent and the other two just against her from two different PAC groups. I have not seen one of her campaign ads in the last 10 days. This tells me she was just in to move money to where she can keep it.

The guy that beat her, Wesley Bell, is a narcissistic piece of crap who was the former county prosecutor who tried to be progressive, but was overlooked due to Kim Gardner and her antics in St. Louis city. Bell secretly tried some of the same things and got to hide behind Gardener’s skirts. He is another progressive but the good news most of us will never hear from him for the next year and a half until he has to run for reelection. The bad news is he will vote solidly with all Democrats whereas Bush the Crazy had her own agenda and voted against them while saying stupid and crazy stuff.

She's just not a very bright woman.
Even "the squad" had enough of her.

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Quite frankly, my spouse and I were ready to vomit when we saw her commercials on TV here in St. Louis. Especially knowing what she was really like.

Cori Bush it truly not very bright and openly supported abolishing ICE among other progressive causes.

However, Wesley Bell is quite bright, has a law degree and like Bush, openly supports abolishing ICE.

He has also been the recipient of tremendous amounts of cash from AIPAC and similar PAC's.

In the long run, I think Bell may be far more dangerous than Bush ever was. Bush was largely full of sound and fury while at the end of the day, she didn't manage to pass any legislation and missed over 200 votes in two years in office.

Bell may well be far more effective for the Democrats since he appears to know when to rein in the crazy and appear to play well with others.

Who cares? Democrats and corruption go together like pigs and mud.

She's gone and she's going to stay gone, and that is what counts.

Weesly Bell will go where the cameras are and say what gets him attention for the moment. He is worthless and disappears outside of an election cycle. He could ONLY get elected in a black majority district in a blue shithole, as his failed Senate run proved. He will vote solidly dem.

The good news is...
The Supreme Court recently ruled against racial gerrymandering in favor of black only districts.
When we redistrict, there's a good chance we can divide up that area to eliminate a Democrat district.
