...even though they are equal to men in every way.

Gee, that doesn't seem to make any sense, does it? If they are equal to us in every way, why is there this rule that they can't be struck? If there is no distinction of any kind between men and women, why is there a distinction being made when it comes to physical alterations?

Don't misunderstand what I'm posting here. I'm not advocating physical violence against women. I'm advocating common sense and the need to remove these convenient damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't double standards. "I'm your equal until it's to my advantage to fall back on the old standards. I'm a hypocrite and no one ever calls me on it."

When I was a patrol officer in a low rent area in the 70's, we had one residence where a couple had a knock down drag out fight just about every Friday night. The guy was a scrawny little guy and his wife was about 6' and 240. She beat the absolute shit out of him on a regular basis, but he would never press charges. The state law changed that allowed us to make an arrest without the victim pressing charges. We were all looking forward to the next call to their house after the change in the law took effect. Sure enough we arrested her after she broke his arm on a Friday night beating. He kept telling us to not arrest her, she was shocked that things had changed, and it took about 6 of us to get her cuffed and into the cruiser. Every one of us got bumps and bruises in that rodeo. Then she took on the detention deputies down at county jail and wound up hog tied in the padded cell. The judge had no sense of humor and she spent a few months in county lockup. That was one of the more satisfying moments of my career.

There was (maybe still is) a YouTuber who posted many vids saying the same thing. WAAMEN acting like total psychos. Had a man done 1/10 of what they did, he'd have been clocked and most likely cuffed and stuffed as well. It's continually giving them this room that gets you females like Courtney Clenney.

Like Hayes, I worked in the hood for most of my career. One fight was a drunk 250 pound woman. She threw me all over the house damaging property and me! Police training is all about getting them into handcuffs without hurting them so bad. At the point she bit down on my left hand-all the training went out the window and I started punching her in the face. Surprisingly that made her let go and I managed to get her cuffed up. I was so mad that when I was dragging her out to the car, I wasn’t thinking and she ran full on into the door frame. It knocked her out and I knew my career was over.

When she came to a minute later she was a whole new person. Apologizing to me and my partner and her husband…got to the magistrate and told the story and she told the judge that she did everything I testified to. She never complained or filed an IA…I guess no one had ever fought back and she was used to getting her way.

Come to think of it, I fought more women than men. The guys might try to fight to get away and scamper off but women wanted to go a few rounds.

It’s a culture thing.

Regardless of the sex of the attacker, you're just as dead. Hesitation or reluctance to hurt a woman when she is hell-bent on killing you has, I'm sure, gotten good men killed.

Ah, the old "she ran into the doorpost by accident" thing. Yep, I have seen it happen...

Watching r or 5 cops try and cuff this little 105 lb girl my wife expressed some slight outrage about the use of force and why did it take all these cops to cuff this one little girl.

I explained that they were not trying to cuff her, they were trying to cuff her without harming her by using minimum force. Anyone of the cops could have cuffed her by themselves by using the force necessary instead of using the minimum force.

Earlier this year I had a student, senior girl that was arguing with a boy who she thought stole her ear buds (turns out she was right, he hid them in his underwear). As I was trying to calm down the situation ( arguing back and forth) the girl mentioned she was going to punch him out and stated her father told her she can hit a man in the face and the men cannot hit her back because she was a woman.

I responded that if she came up and punched me in the face, I would hit her back. She said she would have me arrested if I did that. I told her the one that threw the punch first would most likely be arrested if the police thought it was an assault. She kept saying women can't be hit by a man no matter what.

Hitting a women is something I wouldn't do, but if out of the blue a woman punched me in the face, she will get hit back.

The principal was the one to retrieve the earbuds. My wife thought if It was reported to say that to the girl I could be fired. My wife is in the union, I am not. We work in the same school.

Not a LEO, but I saw two incidents when I was a boy in school that left a lasting impression on me regarding just how dangerous some women can be.

I took martial arts classes for several years in Junior high and first year of high school. When our instructor felt we were ready we went to a local regional competition. While watching a couple girls competing in a match, they started out following the rules and using appropriate moves, scoring points, and separating when the ref told them too... but at some point I was shocked to see their match devolveop into a scratching, yelling, slapping, hair pulling match and it took the ref and one of the coaches to separate them.

Living in a rural area with @ 35-40 minute bus ride to school in 8th or 9th grade. The bus had just picked us up from our stop a few minutes earlier. One of the girls on the route got onboard and settled into one of the middle seats. The next stop another group of kids, including another girl got onboard and this girl took a seat two seats behind the previous girl. Bus is in motion, no words exchanged between the two girls, suddenly the girl in the rear most seat springs over the seats, her body horizontal and laying across our shoulders on the top of the seats, and starts shrieking obscenities as she has grabbed handfuls of the front girl's hair, yanking her head around from behind, and trying to yank the front girl backwards into the kids' laps in the seat behind her. Luckily we were still on the rural part of the bus route and the bus driver was able to quickly stop the bus before she came back to break up the fight. I'll never forget seeing the huge tufts of afro hair laying in the bus seat, yanked out by their roots.

The suddenness, with no warning, and utter violence of that attack shook me up and served as a permanent reminder to me just how dangerous women could be...and I realized I should avoid getting in a fight with a woman if possible.

You guys in LE, man it's a little like Thunderdome sometimes. I'd be fine with a return to the occasional judicious administration of wood shampoos, the door post or cruiser roof "watch your head" noggin bump, and fire hoses.

We would practice hands on restraint. It was VERY hard for 4-5 big dudes to restrain a small dude without hurting him. I dont think most people realize how hard it is.

My dad always told my sister and me that if either of us got in a physical fight that it was going to pale in comparison to what he did to us. He was a firm believer that there are not many things that looked trashier than two girls fighting. He and my mom were both school teachers, so he knew…

A "fairer sex" war story:
It was a typical Ohio summer night (80+ degrees with 100% humidity) and all the other cars were tied up. Dispatch sends me to a family fight but the Sarge tells me to stand by in the area until he can break loose backup for me. Fine. I drive to the neighborhood and park just down the street to wait it out. Nope. Nieghbor comes out to the car and says "you better get in there, she is killing him". Meanwhile, Sweetie comes outside and sees me and starts screaming at me.
Great! Now I'm the Lone Ranger, with the neighbors rooting for me. So I get her to go back in the house. Once inside, I find Hubby lying on the couch with a split lip and bloody nose. He says Sweetie came home from a bar quite drunk. She had been insulted at the bar and wanted him to go back there with her and take on the bar. When Hubby refused to go, she tuned him up. I asked if he wanted her arrested. He said no and that she is only a problem when drunk. Looks like I can ease out now, right? Nope. Sweetie wants me to go back to the bar with her and arrest everybody. I decline. Sweetie and I are standing in the front doorway and I take my attention away from her to look outside to see if the cavalry had arrived yet. When I turn back towards her, she was swinging a heavy wooden door closed on me and it caught me square in the face. Policy, politeness and professionalism are now off the table. I am 6/4 and dress out at 220. Sweetie is 5/2 and 110. I punch Sweetie with all my might right in the nose. She goes down! Problem solved? Nope. She is back on her feet in a flash and jumps on me. And sticks to me like a tick. At this point, I am wondering if Hubby will join in. The fight progresses and eventually we both end up on the floor, where I am trying to get Sweetie cuffed. At one point I glance over at Hubby who is calmly lying on the couch, taking in the fight. I say, "sorry you have to watch this". He says, "no problem, I know you have a job to do"! Yay! Citizen support! I finally get Sweetie subdued through the use of a time proven but now out of policy technique called the Arm Bar Choke. Dragging her outside across the lawn to the patrol car, I meet the Sarge who has just arrived. He observes Sweetie and says "looks like she fell down". I said "yep, repeatedly"!
Later in court, Sweetie has scrubbed up nicely and looks quite demure. She pleads guilty to felony Domestic Violence (2 priors) and Assaulting a LEO. Gets 18 months.
Sugar and spice and everything nice. Roll Eyes

I have only hit a woman once in my life. I was arresting a lady’s daughter for shoplifting and the daughter started resisting me as I was trying to get her cuffed. At the same time the mom began hitting me with her purse. I told her to stop and after she hit me again I told her if she hit me one more time I would knock the shit out of her. She hit me again. My hands were occupied still trying to cuff the daughter so I gave her a full on karate (I am a black belt) side kick and sent her flying to land on her ass. She didn’t hit me again.
