Bought mine with the xbsx.

I think that if you plan to use your external drive with both xboxes, you must set it up so the series will be aware of this.

How does one one get backwards compatibility to work?
I have a number of original Xbox games that are on the backwards compatibility list at the Microsoft Xbox site yet when I insert them they don’t do anything?

Probably just need to buy an XBOX for the retro gaming station.
