Because I'd like as little interference for Trump as possible.

What you like or not like doesn't make the man an idiot. Wink

His choice to run now, makes him an idiot in my eyes. I don't care what he does in '28. I might even vote for him because of how intelligent he is in other areas.

If Biden runs, will he do so unopposed by any other Democrats?

Yes. When does an incumbent ever get opposed?

In 1980. Ted Kennedy tried.

Now, another Kennedy--RFK Jr. is going to try.

She's an idiot too. Looks like a publicity stunt. I don't doubt you can find token attempts.

What is your problem tonight? You asked me and I provided you with an answer, and you're going to just toss it aside. Biden is not running unopposed and he's the incumbent. You want to be surly and difficult? Baby, you ain't seen nothin'. Keep it up.

Of course you found something, and I'm definitely tossing it aside, because it's meaningless. I knew my statement wasn't absolute, but my point stands. Anyone who tries to run against the incumbent is a token at best.

If the Dems are owed a little payback, which Trump can deliver by winning the general election, then surely the RINOs are owed a little payback, which Trump can deliver by winning the primaries.

Then what does it matter if Ramaswamy runs?

It really doesn't, because he doesn't have a prayer, but I still revert to my original reason for calling him an idiot.

I gauge the man to be more intelligent than you and me, both. I think you need to work on your definition of the word 'idiot' or at least be more careful about how you sling such terms.

The man is more intelligent than most of the population, at least that much is certain.

The airtime he will get as a presidential candidate can and likely will propel him to a senior position as an elected official, as a consultant, or as a commentator.

He’s not an idiot, he is playing the game under his rules, with his endgame in mind.

Let’s avoid acting like the Democrats in 2016 and anoint someone before the primaries… let’s see how everything shakes out.

I've listened to Ramaswamy several times and read some of his stuff. He's a very smart guy, has a good bit of walking-around money (1/2 billion or so) and has invented a platform for his ideas to get air time.

I have no insight to what he wants but what he has is a country that has started to hear his ideas, ideas he puts forth calmly and intelligently. He's a very different dude than DeSantis or Trump.
The fact that he is in the game is going to make the other players sharper.

God bless him. And he's not an idiot.

I agree with you—*that* is his endgame and this is all a publicity stunt.

You don't even know why he runs. All you do is name calling and speculating. Remember when Trump was ridiculed in 2015, and that he had no chance of winning?

Cut Keystoner some slack. Apparently, he is relatively new to the planet and this is his first presidential election. This is the only explanation as to why he's so indignant about a thing that occurs every presidential election cycle.

The sane Earthlings can see that Ramaswamy is 37 years old. He has the potential for running for the office of the presidency eight times or more. He's making himself known, for the future.

I had never heard of the man before he announced. How many of you here can say that you knew who he was last year? So, he's getting exposure and yes, he may be angling for a cabinet position or the like.

This is all perfectly normal, but for whatever reason, Keystoner has his panties in a wad about the guy. Maybe it's some kind of weird bro-crush, I don't know.
