It's very simple- if Donald Trump is the candidate, you'll vote for him. You can't control anything other than that.
And here we are, a year and a half out and you guys are already giving up.

There is no way I could ever stomach voting for a democrat but Trumps mouth and ego just drives me nuts. He’s his own worst enemy, if he could keep his mouth shut he would probably still be president but he’s just not capable of doing that. He had a rally recently where he was making fun of and mocking DeSantis, I think people are getting tired of it. He’s fucking childish when it comes to his mouth and ego, constantly name calling, mockin etc etc. shut the fuck up already. Can’t freaking stay off social media to save his life. I’m hoping it’s DeSantis.
You don't believe the MSM is going to report on President Trump fairly do you? Social Media is his only platform as the Executive, to comm with Americans. We all recognize the traits of the man. It is different than being coddled by a liar in a suit for 4 years, who gets nothing done. I think it's early for DeSantis and we aren't in this for a beauty contest. He is young and needs to grow. Boy are people ever gullable. Vote for me, I did a good job here for a short while, Same as Hillary, not qualified. Trump did good for the whole country. He is a skilled worker, not a player. Don't let his antics sway you. Vote for the man because it is best for the country.

Has Ron DeSantis even said he is running for the White House? Who keeps suggesting this? I see in him, a man taking comfort in the MAGA followers of President Trump. Anyone who even claims to be in the Trump camp is going to do well. Anyone who is as genuine as Trump, is a shoe in. I don't see anyone who is a rock like Donald Trump. No others need apply.

If the Stormy allegations are completely true, that DT paid hush money to Stormy and that somehow the book keeping was defective, it is still just nothing. A technical foul at worst.
DJT's support only becomes stronger when the swamp tries to damage him. The more the swamp takes us into banana republic territory, the more the electorate will move away from them and towards the alternative.
In my opinion, the whole Stormy issue is an invisible nothing burger.
Those that support PDJT and see what the corrupt, senile, waste of oxygen currently inhabiting the White House is doing to our country couldn’t care less. “Heck, if everything about Stormy is true, PDJT is still at least seven orders of magnitude less corrupt than FJB. Don’t care, doesn’t matter.”
On the other hand, those that have drunk the Commie koolaid and support FJB wouldn’t switch to PDJT if the whole Stormy thing was proved demonstrably false and everyone involved said that it was false and apologized for ever saying otherwise.
It just doesn’t matter.

I don't see anyone giving up. It's very simple- if Donald Trump is the candidate, I will vote for him. If Ron DeSantis is the candidate, I will vote for him. I'm keeping an open mind between the two of them.

Then, you haven't read all that I've read in this forum. We have members saying Donald Trump can't win and we have people outside of this forum who are supposedly on the political right who are saying the same thing, and since Trump is almost certainly going to be the candidate, it cannot be called anything but surrendering before the battle is even fought.
They need to run their little white panties up the flag pole and report to a leftist indoctrination camp.
Eighteen months out, we are, and they have already given up, and I'll tell you guys that I am not listening to a year and a half of pissing and moaning from those who can't even put up a fight.

I thought the same thing about the "Never-Trumpers" in 2016 and in 2020. The neo-cons are closet Democrats, undermining our cause.

^^^ Agreed, but the RINOs are the second most important reason (after the Dems and all their antics) why its critical to get Trump and De Santis voters to work together for whichever of the two is the nominee.
I would also note that we're beginning to see articles in the media trying to attach both of them to negatives (De Santis is Jeb Bush' puppet, Trump wanted to ban ARs but dropped it when he was impeached) that would split the vote behind either. IOW, I think the opposition on both the right and the left is trying to exploit anything they can to divide voters willing to support either Trump or De Santis.

Pro-DeSantis Super PAC runs ad telling Trump to ‘fight Democrats’ By Thomas Lifson
I have been deeply distressed by the TV ad currently running that attacks Ron DeSantis for supposedly wanting to cut Social Security. The ad comes from a group that has “Make America great again” in its name, so obviously it is a pro-Trump Super PAC. As a matter of law, candidates cannot direct the activities of a Super PAC, so one can’t directly blame President Trump for the ad. But he is free to say that he thinks Republicans should attack Democrats, not each other, and that probably would put an end to the ads.
That’s no doubt why a Super PAC supporting Ron DeSantis called “Never Back Down, Inc.” has put out an ad asking President Trump to do exactly that (via The Jewish Voice)
“Donald Trump is being attacked by a Democrat prosecutor in New York. So why is he spending millions attacking the Republican governor of Florida?" - “What happened to Donald Trump?"
Saving the country from another term of a Democrat president takes priority over any politician’s personal ambition in my book. Trumpian attacks on DeSantis do not enhance for the former president’s standing.

You can't run for POTUS until you win the Primary.
Trumps camp and supporters are fighting the one person they see as a viable threat.
DeSantis OTOH could come out and say if he's running or not, he's not said either way, if he isn't running then saying so would stop the attacks, Then again if he is, then he's getting Trump to spend time, effort and money attacking DeSantis early and it's not being taken seriously at this time because DeSantis hasn't declared candidacy.

^^^ Those are good points.
I get why they are doing it... but I still don't like it. Negative attacks against another Republican don't do anything for me. If anything, they usually backfire against the attacker.

I see that anti Desantis ad often enough here in Florida and it ticks me off to the point it sours my support for Trump. Plenty of other targets that PAC can go after.

See, that's the thing. I support Trump but I'm also open to someone younger with similar policies. In other words I could support either Trump or DeSantis and I don't want to see them attacking each other. If Trump sours his supporters it helps no one.

It would take a nuclear blast level screw up for Trump's supporters to become sour. DeSantis can run in the primary if he wants, but he won't even win Florida. Look at video from a Trump rally. Look at the thousands of fans at UFC cheer his name. He will be the nominee and in a fair election, he will be the 47th President of The United States of America.
So if you believe the last election was not "rigged" why would Republicans want to put up the same person who lost? There is a reason the left wants Trump to be the nominee.
