If there was ever a need for a security camera this is it.

It was probably much more than a brief moment.

I've had a 1,000 pound safe fall on me. That's not enough to squish you unless perhaps it lands square on your head. What it is enough to do is press down on you hard enough to prevent you from breathing.

I suspect he had several minutes to contemplate his decisions.

More poor writing: "Officials at the Marion Police Department said in a statement that George Hollingsworth found the body of the would-be burglar..." The intruder was a still a burglar, regardless of his death.

Yeah, but if you're so bad at it that you fail to steal anything, and actually get yourself nominated for a Darwin award in the process, can you really be called a burglar? I feel like getting away with the goods is a significant part of the job description.

In those few moments I wonder if he questioned some of his life decisions?

We had a local burglary several years back. Business owners came in the next morning and found the safe near the front door. It was intact and nothing else was missing. Police were a little ho-hum about it since nothing was gone and there wasn't any real evidence.

They call one of my competitors to come move the safe back to where it came from, and when they did they found a mans finger squished between it and the floor.

They called the police back to tell them they found some new evidence, and the perpetrator was tracked down to a local ER.

years ago when I was in the grocery business, the company I worked for owned or leased the ATM's

we (managers) would have to fill them daily,

small units, bolted to the floor,

one store in a rough neighborhood, late one evening after the store closed, had a breakin,

perps managed to get the ATM off the floor, drug it to the backroom, and proceeded to attempt to take it apart,

someone used a hammer, someone else got cut, maybe more that one, and bled everywhere,

pictures looked like someone slaughter cattle in the backroom,

no one was caught, ATM was left, beaten, battered, in pieces, on the back dock,
safe intact,,

they did not get a dime
