dlc444EoTech Help Please
I have one of these, and went to replace the batteries. I will describe the problem, hope someone can help.
When you take the battery cover off, there are two bushings with a spring in the middle. It appears that these compress when you close the latch on the battery compartment. These look like they were glued to a rubber backplate that has the terminals for + and-.
The bushings with the springs seem to have separated from the rubber back plate, and I dont know if they can be glued back on or not, nor do I have any glue that may be appropriate.
The rifle has been stored in my closet for a year or so, no greater than 80 degrees. Is this a known issue?
Thanks

kkinaYes, I remember something like that with my 552. It was a long time ago. I think if you call Eotech they send you out some kind of grommet repair kit for free.

MercuryI would try putting some fresh batteries in it and see if it works; it may.
The tension of the latched cover should probably keep everything compressed well enough to use it.
If not, it cost nothing while waiting for EoTech to send out replacement parts.
