I have one of these, and went to replace the batteries. I will describe the problem, hope someone can help.

When you take the battery cover off, there are two bushings with a spring in the middle. It appears that these compress when you close the latch on the battery compartment. These look like they were glued to a rubber backplate that has the terminals for + and-.

The bushings with the springs seem to have separated from the rubber back plate, and I dont know if they can be glued back on or not, nor do I have any glue that may be appropriate.

The rifle has been stored in my closet for a year or so, no greater than 80 degrees. Is this a known issue?

Thanks

Yes, I remember something like that with my 552. It was a long time ago. I think if you call Eotech they send you out some kind of grommet repair kit for free.

I would try putting some fresh batteries in it and see if it works; it may.
The tension of the latched cover should probably keep everything compressed well enough to use it.
If not, it cost nothing while waiting for EoTech to send out replacement parts.
