I usually never win anything I enter, but today I did. There was a gun show this weekend and I didn’t go yesterday because I went to my mom’s house to fix a whole bunch of things. Today was the last day and I figured I would go.

The show was a good size with decent stuff. I bought some ammo and a cool device that will load an AR mag with all 30 rounds in one swipe of the lever. Then some very attractive models in super short skirts were selling raffle tickets for $20 each for the chance to win your choice of a shotgun, a pistol, or an Armalite AR-15 with Magpul accessories. I haven’t looked it up yet, but they said it is a $1,900 rifle.

They said they would sell me two tickets for $30 so I did it. I went home and was just about to start cooking dinner and got a phone call saying I won and asking if I could make it back up there by 4pm. I was able to get there by 3:45pm, and now I have me a brand new rifle for $30!!! I am stoked!

You didn't "win" anything. You paid thirty dollars for it. Razz

Congratulations!

Armalite ARs were all the rage in the 90s, and then they just went off the radar. Strange.

I know they make good ARs. They just seemed to fade into the background, when the new kids on the block (Daniel Defense, Noveske, BCM, Spike's Tactical, etc...) started sprouting up.
