One time I did win something, 4 tickets to a rodeo downtown. But not sure if it counts because the reason I won is because nobody signed up for and it was time for the drawing, and the group of 3 of us were the only ones there eating at the time. So in my case it was "Hey, ya'll wanna go to the rodeo tomorrow?" Closest I ever came to winning a paid raffle was a friend of mine winning the 50/50 ticket draw they do at a lot of dirt tracks on Saturday nights. Half the money goes to the driver points fund and the other goes to the lucky 'winner'. The winning amount? Was about $14, it was a small dirt track about 40 minutes outside of Birmingham and there were only about 100 people in the stands. ________________________ | |||

The only gun I have ever won in a raffle was a Coonan .357 1911 pistol at a Friends of the NRA meeting. To say how long ago that was, I ended up selling it on eBay. Yes, eBay. Shipped to a FFL dealer. | |||

Nice win! The only firearm I've won at a raffle was a thumbhole Savage 93 in .17HMR at a Ducks Unlimited banquet back around 2015. Luckily it was no additional cost since the raffle entry was included with your entry ticket (and I had been gifted the ticket anyway), because I had zero interest in the rifle or that caliber. I flipped it on Armslist the next weekend for something like $400. (Back when Armslist didn't suck...)  | |||

Had the shotgun been a Benelli, I would have taken it. It was an old personal hunting 20 gauge and was the one gun that wouldn’t require paperwork. The pistol was a Smith & Wesson but I don’t recall what model so I took the AR despite having several. NRA Benefactor Life Member | |||

Yup, now I have some of each plus others. I started off with Bushmaster for when I did my first builds. Now almost all of my ARs have at least a Noveske barrel if not other parts as well. NRA Benefactor Life Member | |||
