Good on you bendable. I've done similar before, feels good to make someone's day, especially when $20 might not affect you that much, but might mean a full tank of gas for the recipient vs just being able to put in $8.

Honestly, it makes me feel good to do something like that. Those tears of joy/relief are worth way more than $20 to me.

Hopefully when she goes back on shift again, she has just a smidge more energy and compassion.

Thank you. May the blessings of God Almighty be with you and remain with you always.

Well done sir. Like others have said, you probably have no idea the effect your small act of kindness had on someone who most likely needed something like that.

Good job.

I haven't had the opportunity yet to do the same but I do make it a point to thank the person helping me at whichever store I'm in for coming in to work today. That usually, at least, earns a smile.

but that's beside the point. Big Grin

Before she swiped her card to pay , I asked her if she worked at Trinity , ( the hospital)
and she said yes.

I handed the cashier the total for the two sandwich's and told her thanks for her service to the community .

She turned away from us with her head down ,
the cashier and I looked at each other Confused

She said thank you , between the sob's and tears were showing up on her mask.

THEN ! my eye's filled up , and I couldn't see.

As I paid for my sandwich the whole front line staff said Thank you Leo !

Now my mask started getting wet .

feelings and emotions all over the forkin place.

Good on you, Sir! Well done!
