No , It didn't make me "Feel like a man"

As she walked up to the cash register My 7th SigForum sense told me she might work at the nearby hospital .

Well she did have on scrub's ,a mask and hospital I.D. badge
Smile

but that's beside the point. Big Grin

Before she swiped her card to pay , I asked her if she worked at Trinity , ( the hospital)
and she said yes.

I handed the cashier the total for the two sandwich's and told her thanks for her service to the community .

She turned away from us with her head down ,
the cashier and I looked at each other Confused

She said thank you , between the sob's and tears were showing up on her mask.

THEN ! my eye's filled up , and I couldn't see.

As I paid for my sandwich the whole front line staff said Thank you Leo !

Now my mask started getting wet .

feelings and emotions all over the forkin place.

Maybe that is one of the "filters" in our society, who is self-less rather than selfish. (IE, people like you who go out of their way, sacrifice, to serve and bless others rather than people who ignore others needs.) Doesn't the good book say "love your neighbor"?

You've often been labeled as one whose intent and meaning is confusing. But this episode is abundantly clear. Karma back to you my man! Well done! Big Grin

That there is what it’s all about in the end. Not making her cry. The kindness part. Good on you bendable. Thanks for sharing!

Good on you - Way to go!

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. -Ecclesiastes 9:11

Whew...for a moment...after reading the thread title...I was worried you may have tried to sell her your neighbor's bras...glad we didn't have to read about that. Wink

Bendable, you might catch some flak here from time to time...but you're a good man. Good on ya for being so kind and considerate. I hope the gesture is returned to you one day. Smile

...and "stop calling me Shirley". Wink
