No flashlight- that says it all. Did the doofus even figure out how to use his fancy iPhone (you just know he's not an Android guy) as an area light? This is beyond ignorance and well into dumbass territory.

I learned a new term a few years back that applies here. All the year-round residents of the southern fork of Long Island have a name for all the rich city assholes who clog their small towns all summer- cidiots. This guy is definitrly one.

Fortunately for the rest of us real campers pansy busy-bodies like this one are less likely to repeat the adventure. Those of us who frequent the wilderness are not given to muzzles and tender feelings.

There are boating versions of this story too and that's when it gets dangerous for everybody.

The sad thing is, there are a lot of guys out there that are THIS STUPID.

My wife and I toyed with the idea of buying a class c motorhome to travel the country. Then we put a pencil to it. Now that gas has returned to liberal prices, it makes no sense. Holiday Inn for me.

Ironically, many are costumed in "Lumberjack drag" but despite the attire, would get lost, assume the fetal position and start crying after venturing more than 50 yds into the woods.

We have explored this as well. I put my personal limit at Sprinter van sized units. Unfortunately wife wants bigger. Then the whole concept shuts down.

I chuckle when I see an RV going down the road towing a car. I understand the idea but at some point the complexity of the equation starts to say on me. Hence the car top tent. Keep it simple. Keep it easy. If it gets too hard, I can drive to a hotel.
