Heck, I had a store (Staples) refuse a cash sale because the store's computer system was down and the cash registers were out of service.

I've been using a leather card holder for about 20 years. Don't have to carry credentials anymore so I'm rolling with a money clip & the card holder.

I still carry a wallet but it's a Magpul polymer very thin wallet, for driver's license, CCW, insurance cards, and credit card. Costco app doesn't always work so carry that card too. By law we have to have not just plastic CCW but paper version--unbelievably stupid. Seldom carry cash unless on a trip, or expecting a service person I want to tip.

I still carry cash and always will. I'm not a fan of everything being electronic. Too easy to be compromised. I don't have any files stored in the cloud either.

I do the opposite. “I no longer carry a phone.”

I have a cellular watch and Air Pod Pros. Much smaller foot print than a pacifier and the combination does everything essential for me on the go. Phone either stays home or locked in the vehicle for CarPlay use. And whether using CarPlay or the APP’s with the watch, my bitch assistant is there. In the vehicle a tap of a steering wheel button. On foot I tell the bitch what to do over the APP’s. Not necessary to finger bang a 6” piece of glass when I can do all the same shit with my own voice.

I have a card wallet with the essentials only. And unlike the phone clowns at the stores, I don’t need 4 attempts like them with Phone Pay. My cards all have the chips and they work, the first time, every time. It’s so simple, and effective I’ve never seen the need to use anything different. Sometimes simpler is just better and I don’t need to use my precious for everything. I never want something like my DL on there. I’m not handing that shit to an officer. And I don’t want to live my entire life on my precious. In fact it’s the opposite. If I want to read this forum, or any other I’d rather wait until I’m at home and on a bigger screen than a phone.

Like many here, I carry a pistol. But I carry a spare mag weak side, a knife, and a light at night. I don’t use rear pockets, never have, cuz thieves. And doing it this way board shorts and a t-shirt, keeps everything concealed, and comfortable. The phone carries like a brick and I much prefer to keep it locked up versus on person. Too much data is on there to lose it, have it stolen, or break it and need to replace it. No thanks. IMO, the phone breeds ADHD and addiction problems. I think it’s an epidemic and want no part.

What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Still old fashioned. Still carry leather. But not at Costanza's level. Lol.

I am in the slim front pocket wallet camp. Saddleback Leather's Slim Bifold Leather Wallet. It is barely larger (LxW) than a credit card, I carry 1CC, DL, CCW, Passport Card, & 3 medical ID cards.

Shoot, you would never catch me without wallet. A phone, on the other hand, is something I often forget to grab when leaving the house, or I just leave it in the truck.

I’ll never give up my wallet. Ever have your phone crap out? Ever drop one overboard?
Same reason I’ll always have paper charts on the boat that I run.

I always carry a fair bit of shit in my pockets. I visited with a couple forum members in Florida. Both carried a small bag. I certainly thought that looked rather convenient. I ended up picking up a small Tumi bag. It’s small enough I just about forget I have it. It’s big enough that it carries my wallet, a knife, a small flashlight, car key, an extra magazine, and my AirPods Pro. My pockets are empty aside of my phone.
Make fun all you want about my mini man purse, it’s extremely convenient and comfortable.

I have an APP on my phone that is operated by the State . It has my DL , Concealed Carry Permit , Hunting / Fishing license , and the option for a few other documents . I consider that a back up to what's in my wallet . I will always carry a wallet .

I refused to change my old wallet for a new one. It started to look like roadkill but i held on to it.
When it finally fell apart i switched to a card holder, where i have my debit card, id card, health card, etc. Just in case, i added some cash. It’s thin and fits in my front pockets.
Recovered a lot of room in my jeans. I no longer sit sideways, feel much better.

Unfortunately, a smartphone can get you killed down here too often, and i can’t trust the finance system enough to use Paythis or Paythat and / or digital wallets. Not that i dream of doing it.
My nephew (36), for whom we provide cellphones as he managed to do some unspeakable things to them, is on his 4th phone this year. Average of 2month before shit happens. Done buying Samsungs for him, now he got the cheapest device available. We can’t sleep each time his phone is recalled by rhe Devil as we also put money in his virtual accounts.

I see the young, that more often than not don’t work for a living or pay their own bills, use these modern ways worryless and carelessly until they hit some glitch in the Matrix, only to find out they’re SOL and much less smart as they thought. The IRS love these morons. A new breed of self-impalling suckers.

Down here, Banks are handing out (financial) ropes so the people can hang themselves grabbing Credit they can’t afford to buy stuff they don’t need or luxury that they shouldn’t have or don’t have the smarts to enjoy.

So, yes to no wallet but definitely no to putting all the eggs in a single basket.

Hah! I am one of the two guys you're referring to. My small bag contained seventeen rounds of .45 ACP, and a P245 with which to launch them.

The other guy's small bag probably had a P229, with plenty of .40 S&W ammunition.
