I bought my wife a pretty nice diamond ring for our 20th anniversary during Covid. The jewelry store owner told me that the display diamonds were all CZ, and that when a potential customer saw one they wanted to look at the staff would go back in the back to the safe and get it out. Seemed like a fairly good solution to me, though cumbersome.

If you want to get rid of the crime and become part of American civilization then you need to get rid of your government.

Plain and simple. Governor, mayors and legislators. All of them. As long as ANY remain, today is as good as it’s going to get.

That family has run that shop for years. Multiple generations I believe. Good people. They took great care of me for both of my Rolexes when I lived in the next town over from them.

I read that in “Thurston Howell” voice! Big Grin Apparently San Ramon PD was in pursuit, but called it off due to “danger to the public”. Roll Eyes I can’t imagine a bigger danger to the public than armed Oakland thugs violently taking over a jewelry store.

Almost every gun shop in the west suburbs of Indy has had a "drive-in" burglary after hours by "city dwellers" from Indy. They all have big posts out front, and one has a pull down metal door that completely covers the glass.

In most cases they didn't get much because everything was locked up in the safe at closing and the cases were empty. Kind of stupid not to case the joint well enough to notice that. But then the criminals aren't that bright.
