Toby Keith dead age 62
As the kids say, This one just hits different. Toby was a true patriot which is a rare trait with the entertainment crowd. Some might claim to be but Toby had the bones.

R.I.P. Toby. Far too young.

We had the pleasure of seeing him live a couple of times. I enjoyed his music and was pulling for him to beat the cancer. He will be missed.

He performed at our Camp in Herat, AFG, in 2010. Although it was quiet there, I thought it was ballsy of him to come to a war zone. I’ve always respected him for that and will never forget it.

I started listening to country music in '93 and Should've Been a Cowboy was one of the first country songs I liked. I found my old CD collection and Blue Moon was the first Toby Keith CD that I had bought.

I don't attend many concerts, but I saw Toby once when he performed at Rodeo Houston. Fantastic show.

I always knew he wrote most of his own songs, but I was shocked to learn today that that his catalogue was 5000 songs.

I was really pulling for him to beat the cancer. Gone too soon.

I ordered a 2004 Ford Super Duty in late 2003, It was delivered in late December of 2003.
It had a large picture of Toby Keith hanging on the rear view mirror. Apparently he had a deal with Ford. I still have it.
He was a good guy.

Read the thread. If I get up tomorrow and see members still posting this now meaningless "RIP" stuff, the thread gets locked.

This is trying my patience- the fact that members are posting to this thread without reading it.

Enough is enough. We are going to stop with the empty platitudes. One way or another, I am going to get this across to you guys.

Locally Mr Keith built out of his own pocket the OK Kids Coral to help the children and their families at OU Childrens Hospital. It's entire purpose is to make it easier for families and children to stay in a close by place and they don't have to worry about lodging, food and meals, etc. Very safe.

I've been in maybe 10 times. 1st class facility. Room and meals are provided in a very safe and secure facility.

It's a few blocks away from the Childrens Hospital.

Ironically, this facility is for children with cancer. How ironic.
