+2 with you ... BlackVue DR750S- 1 Ch. The DR750S-2Ch is a very worthwhile thought, for critical front and rear coverage. The rear cam is powered by the front (main) unit. Depends on your vehicle?

I have been researching dashcams and was initially put off by blackboxmycar because they focus almost exclusively on BlackVue and Thinkware. However, further research demonstrated that they are a legit operation and they recommend BlackVue and Thinkware because they are the two top dashcam brands.

I am not using that as I have a gauge display for my diesel truck plugged in there. I am running the Blackvue battery and expansion pack. I have a Power Magic Pro I was going to use but I wanted to keep it completely off the vehicle battery. The battery backup charges when the motor is running and supplies power to dashcam while truck is off until the batteries go dead. Once you start the truck the backup batteries charge again. The backup batteries were as much as the dashcam so many consider it a luxury purchase. I wanted to make sure I was recording when parked in public so it would capture a potential hit and run. The only thing I captured while the truck was off was some solicitor putting a sheet of paper under my windshield wiper |
