I've never been in one, I don't even follow what you guys are talking about and I don't care. I've seen them do their work, a couple of times they showed up for me in a moment of need, and I always take that kind of thing personally. I love you guys: the brass balls jocks, the crews that kept them in the air, the guys that vectored them in from god knows where and the guys that strapped on the ordnance. I can't think of a better reason to drill a well than to put go juice in one of those smoke-making go-fast Cong-killers and all their funny-lookin' 21st century kin. Thanks guys.

Can we change the group buy to this? Seems like we can get more bang for the buck!

A-4 Skyhawks in really cool livery - 3 flyable airframes + 5 additional restorable airframes and spares for a slick $5M

Now we’re talkin’! I was ordnance for two USMC squadrons so I love these birds. These little “Scooters” would be a better choice than a Phantom II. They can’t fire Sparrows, but the latest Sidewinders are quite effective.

A-4s Forever!!!

LOL I have a Tomcat seat as well. Funny enough, he actually prefers that one over the Phantom seat. Big Grin Big Grin

Several tours in SEA on Air Force bases. Witnessed hundreds of F4 takeoffs and landings, knew many of the ground crews and aircrews. The F4 is an awesome airplane and war machine. I was amused at crew chiefs complaining about pilots who "bent my airplane". Sadly in those days the number of aircrews returning was not always equal to the number who took off. I had the privilege of being on the flightline at Udorn when Capt Ritchie landed after becoming their Air Force's first fighter pilot ace in Vietnam, and the last pilot ace in Air Force history. There was one hell of a party in the officer's club that night. You could feel the thunder of those engines all the way down in your bones. I recall those sounds and smells vividly today, nearly 50 years later. Seeing an image if an F4 brings it back like it was yesterday. God Bless the USA and our warriors.

That's my friends former company. every year at the company picnic in Stow the family would put on an airshow.

The Phantom has been a huge expense and doesn't really fly that much.
