Political Cynic![]() |
swung a golf club for the first time since my truck accident last March did OK, so aches or pains - kept everything really slow and smooth will be interesting to see what I feel like tomorrow ![]() worked with my 9, 7, 5, fairway metal for about 70 balls, took the last 5 for my driver not too bad - about 210 yards of carry - a bit higher ball flight than normal but otherwise OK [B] Against ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC

I haven't golfed in 6 years due to medical issues. I'd love to be able to get back to it but I'm so out of shape and being 70 now I don't think it'll happen. Good for you for getting out there and making it happen. Jim ________________________ "If you can't be a good example, then you'll have to be a horrible warning" -Catherine Aird

Too clever by half![]() |
I usually play all winter and try to get out twice a week minimum, but it's been either too wet or too cold this year. Got out this week and walked 18 holes Tues, Wed, and Thurs even though the course was wet. I am still a little sore, and based on the scoring alone Thursday was one day too many. Good for you! Keep it slow and smooth so you don't ingrain swing changes from the injury(s) that have to be changed back. I played Friday. Almost every hole was cut at the edge of a slope or at the top of a hump. Next time, I want to buy the greenskeeper some hookers and blow to put him in a better mood before they cut the holes. -------- After the game, the King and the pawn go into the same box.

Practice? What's that? Just go out and play. You'll enjoy it more even if you lose a couple of balls and have to pick up balls. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Got out Tuesday, it was over 80deg here Super wet, but we have one public course that drains very well, and they were letting the carts out (90 rule) Usually play at least once a month during the winter, haven’t been shut out yet. Nhtagmember, forgot to mention in my first reply that after a long layoff, this is the PERFECT time to a lesson or 5. Don't know if your money situation will allow it but even a single lesson can be a big help to get the right habits ingrained. They don't have to be from Butch Harmon at $1500 a pop, do some calling around and check. A lesson in the fundamentals is best done at slower speed anyway. ![]() -------- After the game, the King and the pawn go into the same box.

Do---or do not. There is no try. |
Lots of rain here in the Dallas area over the past 10 days. We’ll be lucky to be playing by next weekend.

I f'd a rib up really bad. It slowed my swing down by a ton. That is the most accurate I have been in a long time. Slow and smooth is a good thing. Too bad it took an injury for that to sink in ![]()
