I am not surprised at all. Since I haven't attended or followed the actual evidence ~ I don't know if they came to an honest conclusion or not ~ based on the law. However, two things: One, I detest "FBI process crimes" as something legitimate. Two, the jury makeup as I understand it was dramatically biased - but I would hope at least one could hold out for true justice based on the law. I hope at least some additional evidence and truth can be revealed by this.

I already knew from the get go about DC being a liberal enclave but only now are the stories coming out about the judge and his wife? I'm not sure I understand Durham's strategy. He can't be that dumb not to think what his chances are for a jury trial in DC. This is like a dry hump tease. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Peter Strzok quotes Benjamin Wittes: “[T]he case was fundamentally about displacing the conventional worldview associated with the Trump scandals and establishing the respectability of the insurgent Trumpist counter-narrative…as with the effort to convict Sussmann, Durham has failed.” Shipwreckedcrew: Sussmann was charged with lying to the FBI. Sussmann was alleged to have knowingly provided false data to the FBI in order to create an investigation for use as an "October Surprise." Strzok received the info from Baker/Priestap. Strzok sent the info to Cyber Crimes Division Cyber told Strzok the data didn't support the hypothesis and now we know the Cyber folks thought it looked like a set-up. Strzok sent the material to the Counter-Intel squad in Chicago that was working Crossfire Hurricane. The Counter-Intel squad said the same thing Cyber said. And Strzok cheers the acquittal of the guy who brought that bogus material to the FBI and caused him to use investigative resources to chase it down, only to conclude it was likely fabricated. That tells you all you need to know about the character and integrity of Peter Strzok

I'm not as optimistic but this is an interesting take: Huge props to @IvanPentchoukov and @EpochTimes for not only obtaining but also sharing a massive cache of exhibits from the Sussmann trial. Some of this stuff was floating around but Ivan got the whole set and it's juicy. Probably worth jury nullification. https://twitter.com/HansMahnck...HHwWgsCyhZj_5sIqAAAA Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed. Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists. Maybe this guy has it right? Special Counsel John Durham’s Failed Russiagate Investigation https://www.paulcraigroberts.o...agate-investigation/ Years ago I wrote that nothing would come of Special Counsel John Durham’s Russiagate investigation. Yesterday I was proven correct. A politicized Washington, D.C., jury threw out the only case Durham has brought against a seditious operation that began six years ago. Michael Sussman, a Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer was cleared of lying to a FBI agent, the only crime Durham could find of a massive operation orchestrated by the CIA and FBI to prevent President Trump from normalizing relations with Russia. American foreign policy was set on a totally different course from Trump’s intent by the neoconservatives with the Wolfowitz doctrine of US hegemony. Russia has to be pushed back and overcome with problems that would drain and redirect the Kremlin’s energy away from opposing US unilateralism. After pouring $5 billion into preparing the overthrow of the Ukrainian government, the neoconservatives struck with the US-orchestrated “Maidan Revolution” in 2014 and installed an anti-Russian puppet government. Neither the military-security complex nor the neoconservatives were going to let President Trump proceed with his goal of normalizing relations with Russia. The relations were on schedule to be much worsened with the humiliation and isolation of Russia as the goal. Trump, being a real estate developer with no sound or knowledgable advisers, had no idea of the challenge his normalization posed to the ruling establishment, Republicans as well as Democrats. Trump was a sitting duck. It was obvious that Durham’s job was to make sure the Russiagate investigation failed. We have known for years of the FBI’s role in orchestrating Russiagate. The facts are available. High level FBI officials were involved in the plot against Trump. The FBI lied to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, prompting one judge to resign in protest. But Durham focused on low level Clinton campaign officials. Despite evidence, he didn’t even go after Hillary. He couldn’t. Hillary on the stand would have said that the CIA and FBI brought her the issue and whereas it served her interest she did not originate Russiagate. Conservatives no less than liberals would not want to shake the public’s confidence in government by implicating the CIA and FBI in a plot to control US foreign policy and perhaps remove a president from office. There was no way there could be a real investigation of Russiagate. Indeed, Attorney General Bill Barr could have stopped the orchestration while he was in office, but he did not. Trump was out of step with the ruling establishment and had to be reduced to impotence and got rid off. The Kremlin thinks that foreign policy is used to further a country’s national interest, but not in the United States. In the US foreign policy serves the power and profit of the military/security complex and the hegemonic ideology of the neoconservatives. A $1,000 billion annual military/security budget requires an enemy, not normalized relations. Clearly, the Kremlin has been in the dark about this and has been waiting patiently for the West to act rationally rather than in a suicidal manner. The neoconservatives’ well thought-out plan to overthrow the Ukrainian government, install a puppet, and train and equip a neo-Nazi militia to shell the Russian population in the Donbass area of Ukraine was designed to provoke a Russian intervention that could be used to justify sanctions that would isolate Russia from Europe and justify more US missile bases on Russia’s borders. This plan was threatened by President Trump’s declared goal of normalizing relations with Russia. Trump had to go, because he positioned himself as an obstacle to a hegemonic foreign policy two decades in the making. In the US the justice system is politicized. That Durham had to bring his case in the District of Columbia guaranteed that Sussman would not be convicted. I suspect that Sussman’s acquittal is the end of the Russiagate investigation. Just as the media demonization of police officer Derek Chauvin meant no jury would fail to convict him, the demonization of Russia means that no jury would rule against the belief that there was Russian collusion in our internal affairs. _________________________ "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." IMHO The above describes what's going on today with Russia and the Ukraine. It identifies the players and the goals. Russia was goaded into attacking as the military-security complex hoped and wanted. ____________________________________________________ The butcher with the sharpest knife has the warmest heart.

Published July 14, 2022 4:11pm EDT “Special Counsel John Durham has asked a federal court to issue more than two dozen subpoenas associated with the trial of Igor Danchenko, the Russian national accused of lying about his connection to the now-infamous anti-Trump dossier. Durham this week requested that 30 subpoenas be issued to individuals to testify on behalf of the government during Danchenko’s trial, which is set to begin Oct. 11. The court filing, reviewed by Fox News, did not reveal the identities of the individuals Durham is requesting be compelled to testify. Danchenko was charged with five counts of making false statements to the FBI. The charges stemmed from statements Danchenko made relating to the sources he used in providing information to an investigative firm in the U.K…” More in FoxNews article. https://www.foxnews.com/politi...d-danchenko-case.amp Serious about crackers

adding to the many FBI names who went rogue to damage Donald Trump: Assistant Special Agent in Charge Timothy Thibault This guy is all over the place to bring down Trump https://www.breitbart.com/poli...nce-extremism-stats/ The same senior FBI agent who allegedly shut down investigative activity related to Hunter Biden also allegedly sought to pad the FBI’s number of “domestic violent extremism” cases, a whistleblower informed House Judiciary Committee ranking member Assistant Special Agent in Charge Timothy Thibault Jim Jordan had sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday revealing that whistleblowers informed his office that “FBI officials are pressuring agents to reclassify cases as ‘domestic violent extremism’ even if the cases do not meet the criteria for such a classification.” you better stop Christopher Wray, or we will send another letter The letter specifically references an unnamed “field office Counterterrorism Assistant Special Agent in Charge” who “pressured agents” to categorize cases as domestic violent extremism. Later Wednesday, after the letter was sent to Wray, a whistleblower informed Jordan that Thibault was the unnamed agent, Jordan told Breitbart News. The revelation comes after Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), who serves as Jordan’s Judiciary counterpart in the Senate, sent his own letter to both the FBI and Justice Department (DOJ) on July 26 demanding documentation related to the FBI’s handling of information about President Joe Biden’s embattled son Hunter. Grassley said whistleblowers alleged that in August 2020, an FBI assessment was used by an FBI Headquarters team “to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation and caused investigative activity to cease.” Grassley wrote, “Based on allegations, verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as disinformation.” Then Grassley detailed one instance in which “an avenue of additional derogatory Hunter Biden reporting was ordered closed,” specifically by Thibault, in October 2020. While this line of investigation could normally have been picked up later, Thibault and other agents also “subsequently attempted to improperly mark the matter in FBI systems so that it could not be opened in the future,” Grassley wrote of the whistleblowers’ allegations. Thibault “likely violated several federal regulations and Department guidelines designed to prevent political bias from infecting FBI matters,” Grassley wrote, detailing bias Thibault displayed on social media against former President Donald Trump and former Attorney General Bill Barr. In a separate letter, dated July 18, Grassley noted that whistleblowers said Thibault was “deeply involved in the decisions to open and pursue” investigating objections to the 2020 election, despite the fact that, per whistleblowers, Thibault has a track record of being unsupportive of the FBI following “normal investigative procedures” for election-related crime allegations. Grassley said Wray had informed him that Thibault has been removed from the “decision-making” about which investigations the FBI should pursue.

posting this story here because it emphasizes that some of the same crew that framed Donald Trump before (in 2016 /2017 etc) are involved in the raid on Mar a Largo long report by Paul Sperry https://www.realclearinvestiga...ate_hoax_848582.html cuts and pastes: The FBI division overseeing the investigation of former President Trump's handling of classified material at his Mar-a-Lago residence is also a focus of Special Counsel John Durham's investigation of the bureau's alleged abuses of power and political bias during its years-long Russiagate probe of Trump. The FBI's nine-hour, 30-agent raid of the former president's Florida estate is part of a counterintelligence case run out of Washington The bureau's counterintelligence division led the 2016-2017 Russia "collusion" investigation of Trump, codenamed "Crossfire Hurricane." Although the former head of Crossfire Hurricane, Peter Strzok, was fired after the disclosure of his vitriolic anti-Trump tweets, several members of his team remain working in the counterintelligence unit, the sources say, even though they are under active investigation by both Durham and the bureau's disciplinary arm, the Office of Professional Responsibility a key member of the Crossfire team – Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten – has continued to be involved in politically sensitive investigations, including the ongoing federal probe of potentially incriminating content found on the abandoned laptop of President Biden's son Hunter Biden FBI whistleblowers have alleged that Auten tried to falsely discredit derogatory evidence against Hunter Biden during the 2020 campaign by labeling it Russian "disinformation," an assessment that caused investigative activity to cease. Auten has been allowed to work on sensitive cases even though he has been under internal investigation since 2019, when Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz referred him for disciplinary review for his role in vetting a Hillary Clinton campaign-funded dossier used by the FBI to obtain a series of wiretap warrants to spy on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. Horowitz singled out Auten for cutting a number of corners in the verification process and even allowing information he knew to be incorrect slip into warrant affidavits and mislead the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court. Some former FBI officials worry that Auten, a top bureau expert on Russia and nuclear warfare, will have a hand in analyzing the boxes of documents agents seized from Trump's home on Aug. 8 to help determine if any of the alleged Top Secret material he kept there might have been compromised, potentially putting national security at risk. Sources told RealClearInvestigations that Jay Bratt, the top counterintelligence official in Justice's national security division, who happens to be a Democratic National Committee donor, has been coordinating the Mar-a-Lago investigation with Alan Kohler, who heads the FBI's counterintelligence division. Kohler replaced Bill Priestap in that post after Priestap stepped down from the bureau amid criticism of his role in the Russiagate probe Kohler worked in London as the FBI's liaison with British intelligence and law enforcement. The sources say Kohler was close to Stefan Halper, an academic and longtime FBI contractor whom the bureau ran as an informant in a failed effort to suborn Trump campaign officials. He also worked closely with Stephen Somma, a lead case agent in the Crossfire Hurricane probe whom Horowitz said was "primarily responsible" for some of the worst misconduct in the FISA warrant abuse scandal. In 2019, Kohler was promoted to special agent in charge of the counterintelligence division at the FBI's Washington field Office, where he worked alongside then-assistant agent-in-charge Timothy Thibault, who was reassigned by Wray just days prior to the Mar-a-Lago raid, after whistleblowers raised questions about political bias. They asserted that Thibault, who has taken aim at Trump and Republicans on social media, worked with Auten to falsely discredit evidence of alleged money laundering and other activities against Hunter Biden and prevent agents from investigating them. Bratt, the top counterintelligence official at Justice, traveled to Mar-a-Lago in early June and personally inspected the storage facility while interacting with both Trump and one of his lawyers. Trump allowed the three FBI agents Bratt brought with him to open boxes in the storage room and look through them. They left with some documents. After leaving, Bratt made a request to Trump's lawyer for increased security at the facility and asked to see surveillance footage from the security cameras. The lawyer complied with the requests According to Federal Election Commission records, Bratt has given exclusively to Democrats, including at least $800 to the Democratic National Committee. The sources said he is close to David Laufman, whom he replaced as the top counterintelligence official at Justice. An Obama donor, Laufman helped oversee the Russiagate probe, as well as the Clinton email case, which also involved classified information. A Senate investigator told RCI that Laufman was the "mastermind" behind the strategy to dust off and "weaponize" the rarely enforced statutory relic – the Foreign Agents Registration Act – against Trump campaign officials, a novel legal move that the investigator noted is similar to the department's current attempts to enforce the Presidential Records Act against Trump – which is a civil, not a criminal, statute – by invoking the Espionage Act of 1917. Laufman signed off on the wiretapping of Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, which the Department of Justice inspector general determined was conducted under false pretenses involving doctored email, suppression of exculpatory evidence, and other malfeasance. Suddenly resurfacing as a media surrogate for the Justice Department defending the Mar-a-Lago raid, Laufman has been a key source for stories by the Washington Post, CNN, and other outlets. The Justice Department's national security division has ultimate authority over the grand-jury probe of Trump for possible violations of the Espionage Act, including alleged mishandling of classified material – the same statutes invoked in the Clinton email investigation.
