Last weekend, an asshole shot up a birthday party in Florence (Y'all) KY. In 2021, said asshole was convicted of the rape of a 13 year old girl. Sentenced to.... Probation!

My name is Gregg Galloway, Beverly Aylward, Suzanne Beckwith and Joseph Aylward my cousins, as was Robert Aylward. Since 1992 friends, members of Robert's immediate family, including myself have appeared before the PRB to comment against and make clear precisely the reasons to deny parole.

Once again the situation arises that forces us to relive the fear, sadness, anguish and grief of the remorseful day. So, here we are.

The board, I'm sure, is quite aware of his other crimes; two previous homicides, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Escape from Custody and others. But, it is the taking of Robert Aylward's life which concerns me most.

Inmate Rider overpowered Bob, tied him to a chair and inflicted grievous torture on him, using one of Bob's own hunting knives to repeatedly stab and eventually slash his throat, nearly decapitating him. I am unable to imagine the excruciating pain and abject terror my cousin my cousin must have experienced as his life was taken away. The method used makes one think of the Dark Ages or the animalistic, inhuman treatment as might be performed by the Taliban. Simply ghastly, horrific nd disgusting.

For all of Bob's family this is an an inconsolable loss, especially for his children, both of them growing up without a father, in Suzanne's case not having her father to walk her down the aisle when she was wed. Bob's grandchildren will never know their grandfather, they will have only old photographs and others reminiscing, all due to a senseless, brutal act.

Inmate Rider is a putrid, venal animal, a living example of evil, if released there is no guarantee that he wouldn't attempt some form of retribution on any of the family members or the Wichita police officer who facilitated his recapture, after escaping from the hospital in Larned.

Even if he didn't accomplish any of that my question would be what innocent person might he effect?

I do not believe that inmate Rider has been rehabilitated in the slightest, I believe that he would continue in any criminal activities he could, up to, and including murder. He has committed three homicides, it's apparent to me that he has no reluctance to take a life to get what he wants. He would be a wolf among sheep.

In conclusion I feel the people of Kansas are best served with him continuing to be incarcerated.

UPDATE. I received a letter today from the Office of Victim Services, the pertinent information is as follows;

I would like to notify you that the Prisoner Review Board has denied parole for Rider and has set the next parole eligibility date as 10/1/2026.

Now if God will only grant my fervent wish for this lowlife piece of filth to stop wasting my oxygen and start his little dance in some particularly hot part of Hell.

Thank you all, again for contacting the Board and expressing to them the need for his continued incarceration.
