9mmnutSnowblower Recommendations
I had a sears snowblower that had tracks. It was a mankiller. Too hard to turn.

Big one I bought from an independent CC dealer, the walk behind from a Farm store.
Although the blower on the tractor is badged as a Cub Cadet, it's actually manufactured by a Canadian firm:
Bercomac, although all the parts like shear bolts and belts etc. can be obtained from CC as well.

They are all made by MTD now it seems, although there's definitely a difference between big box versions and the independents - even if CC/MTD say there isn't.
My last CC mower (which I have passed on to my son) was a 2544 HD. I bought it in 2007 (also from a farm store), it was a discounted 2006 model, and mowed just over an acre on a steep hill with it until this year. If I could have found a blower to fit it, I would probably still have it. All it ever needed was oil changes and the occasional belt.
It was a tank.

Chris42I have one of the old Gravely L model walk behind tractors. It was built before anybody thought of establishing OSHA.
The snow blower attachment is the model of simplicity. No guards anywhere. Both of the stages have welded steel impellers. Used it one year to blow snow off my gravel driveway. I was picking stones out of my lawn the whole next summer..

BadDogPSDLiving in Truckee, CA, everyone highly recommended Honda snowblowers. We'd get around 20-30 feet of snow where we lived. The Hondas just flat worked, easy to start, and very reliable.

sig2392I bought an Ariens it has an electric start I almost never use.
One pull on the rope and it almost always starts.
I bought it just after the season was over on sale for a deep discount.
