battery powered $24 black friday sale at Walmart. Any good? Wanting to start to dabble into some security camera's for multiple properties. Not looking for the cloud storage. Just a cell phone app. to monitor. If that makes sense. Right now I just don't know what I should do so any help would be appreciated. Seems like Arlo is a brand that has been talked about here with favorable response. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

I use Arlo. All of the Arlo cams need internet access for the Arlo hub. Arlo does have a 4G cellular cam that uses a rechargeable battery. If you are willing to change the battery every so often, then the 4G is a better option than having to maintain internet access at your locations.

Ring is probably the most popular and work well, no subscription needed for the application you mentioned. Wyze is probably the best bang for the buck. They'll have cameras for 30 bucks or less that work well, have very good image quality and can send alerts along with recording to an sd card. Again, no subscription needed.

I have Wyze and as mark 60 said, they work well. I've paid for the subscription too, just to be more certain I wouldn't lose that I might need if a crook was just a little more savvy than average and damaged or stole the cameras. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.
