We voted today around lunch time at our small podunk polling station.

A general turn out is usually in the 200 to 300 range at this location, and when we get there around lunch we are usually somewhere around the 100 mark.

Today we were 400 and 401. One of the officials said they only sent 600 ballots and they were sending a request for more fearing they would run out once work let out.

^^^^ And I was in the city at the Carpenters' Hall. Went in around 2:30 and it was clear sailing, but they told me very heavy turnout this morning.

Polling place was packed early this morning, so I waited until lunch to vote. Crowds were smaller then.

I voted by 7:30 a.m., but President Trump is still calling and texting me every other hour to go vote.

Make it stop. Make it stop. Frown

Went around 9 and there was no line, though all I’ve heard locally was how big a turnout early voting was in Texas this year.

Wife and I voted this morning. Our son will vote after work.

My oldest daughter usually votes mail in ballot but she is a liberal so maybe she forgot to vote I hope.

Babysitting grandkids until the wife got off.
Went asap about 2:45 hoping to beat the after work rush...
I sure did, there was only one other voter there. I had to wait ALMOST a minute! Then drive the mile and a half back home...

Fairly good system they have.
You get a card to fill out. Name and address, then check a box if you have moved or not since the last time you voted. Then signature on the card.

Then you hand the card and your voter ID card and Photo ID to the lady to verify. Next lady looks you up in a book and you have to sign that book. Then she puts a barcode from the book onto the card and hands it to another lady that walks you to a booth and activates it.

I got dressed to go vote and motorcycle has a flat tire. Damn. Took bus (free ride today) to where GF works to borrow car.

Got at polling station "Old Bittie" couldn't find my name on the roll. Finally found it, with help and processed me thru.

Voted straight GOP ticket and NO on road repair proposition. Bastard Democrats pissed away the monies last time on "Feel warm and fuzzy" projects for the unwashed.

As I was leaving, I got a text from Governor Ducey asking for my vote.

Done, done, done..

Most of the voting places are in the schools so no school today here.

Is that pretty common elsewhere?

No line here either about the same time. Lightest turnout I've ever seen, but then I'm in a havily Democratic district, so that's a good thing I reckon.
