egregoreWould this be just to work a few years and then go home, or become a permanent resident but still maintain Canadian citizenship, or go all the way and become a US citizen? Surely something on the DHS website (of which immigration is a part) could walk you through. I'm certain you won't have a problem finding work.

Russ59I worked tangentially with oil ad gas in the Permian basin. XTO and others are building gas plants like crazy. Midland is improving and the majors have new offices in Midland to be closer to the action.

SteynAlso interested. If tru-d’oh gets re-elected 3 weeks from now, I’ll lose all my loyalty to Canada.

sig229-SASWhat about letting Exon move you here, then use the 2-3 year stint to look for a suitable job?

Drop me a note offline and we'll talk. I did the Visa /Green Card route and then did the citizenship application
easier to chat on the phone than try to write it all out
