Would this be just to work a few years and then go home, or become a permanent resident but still maintain Canadian citizenship, or go all the way and become a US citizen? Surely something on the DHS website (of which immigration is a part) could walk you through. I'm certain you won't have a problem finding work.

I worked tangentially with oil ad gas in the Permian basin. XTO and others are building gas plants like crazy. Midland is improving and the majors have new offices in Midland to be closer to the action.
