The dealer got the truck from another dealer in a dealer trade. Got it Monday and then had to do a couple things to it that was agreed upon as part of the transaction. Showed up today with both rigs that were traded in. They hardly looked at them. Business guy came out and introduced himself. Went into his office. Took about 15 mins. to sign paperwork. Went out and moved some personal belongs into the new truck. Got a couple of Ford hats. Shook hands and was out of there. It was the best deal I have ever done. Agreed to the deal over the phone/text. Showed up after they got the rig. They did not even try to jerk me around. They will no doubt sell my trade in's for close $40k. Gave me $28k. Came down $7k off of msrp.

Truck is awesome. Has the F350 rear spring package too.
The 7.3L with the 4.30 rear end does 70mph at 2k rpm's. I am happy. Drives great. Has the XLT trim. Has lots of cools features. Hope it will be a solid rig for the duration.

Thanks to all of you who offered great insight and advice. Really appreciated all of it.

Yup, you know the rules, didn't happen without pics.

That's a great truck and sounds like you got a good deal. Enjoy it!

So my drivers door is ajar. Noticed it at the dealer when picking up. With normal closing force it would not close. The salesman said they can be hard to close. After getting home I noticed it compared to the passenger door, which closes like it should it is hung a bit low. I can tell now by comparing the two. Can I adjust? the dealer is 150 mile round trip.

If you mess with it and can't fix it, they may not warranty it. Is there a local body shop that can look at it, and see what's up.

First find out whether the dealer is willing to resolve it. There’s a reason it doesn’t close like the other door. Might be a minor one, might be a big deal. If the truck is really straight and clean, it could be as minor as weatherstrip out of place. Or it could be the door/opening suffered a trauma of some kind. Back in my college days I was riding with a roommate and he trapped his open door on a pole while reversing. That door never did work right after that. We took it to a body shop and the tech literally hung his weight on it to realign the latch but then it would whistle at highway speeds. I would call the dealer on Monday and make the drive if they are willing and you can’t easily resolve it.

Congrats on the new truck though. It’s exhilarating to drive a new one off the lot.
