Leftists, what more needs to be said?
| The Jays bats were hot last night. Varsho surprised everyone with that 6th inning pinch hit grand slam. Blake Snell looked shaky to me. He just never seemed to find his groove. I’ve got no dog in this race and I really like Kershaw and Betts but I’m rooting for Toronto. |

| I watched a couple minutes of the World Series last night. Advertisements all over everything. How tacky. Walking billboards. Another perfect example of what's wrong with baseball. No thanks. |

The TV commercials in between pitches is really getting disgusting. Not between batters. Literally in between the GD pitcher throwing the next ball.

Why don’t you fix your little problem and light this candle

| I like this dodgers team. I also like Springer and Scherzer. So there is a part of me that was a bit conflicted. Then the Fme Canadians played that dang commercial. Yeah, go Dodgers. Now I really really dont want the Canadian team to win.

Drill Here, Drill Now

| ^^^ +1 Tonight has been an exciting game so far. Two fantastic throws nailing runners at 3rd and home, smart base running, clutch hits down the 1st baseline, and some timely homers. EDIT: Posted too soon as Ohtani hit another solo homer. Most pitchers have a room temperature batting average but Ohtani is a once in a generation pitcher that can hit. Last good hitting pitcher I remember was Hall of Famer Steve Carlton and Ohtani is 84 points better.

| Home plate umpire doesn’t expand the strike zone—at all, but he calls ‘em the same for both teams.

He looks pretty short and is calling head height (for him) pitches as strikes haha. He has called em the same for both so learn as you go but man that slow strike call early was pretty brutal. I’m happy but kind of shitty for anyone routing for TOR. Also, Ohtani is pretty good

He rightfully got his butt chewed earlier in the game when he slowly called a 4th ball a strike, the runner at first began walking to 2nd, and got thrown out. Seems to have been good since then.

| I haven’t followed baseball too closely in recent years, but when did pretty much everyone have a high 90s fastball? I feel like last couple years I’ve started watching more again, I’m seeing consistent heaters. I went to college with Steve Strasburg and just saw that guy throw hard and it stood out, but damn so many guys throwing hard now it seems. Sure we had Nolan, RJ, Gagne, and some others known for their fastball. I grew up in 90s and remember avg being more like low 90s, and Greg Maddux probably not even hitting 90. I know the mound has grown and shrunk but just curious.
