Rain delay at 11 laps.

They need at 50% of the laps complete before they can declare a winner.

They are drying the track now.

The Front crossing the USA bringing snow, flooding, rain, cold temps was passing through, it's done and they should get back to racing soon, it takes a few hours to dry the 2.5 mile track.

I'd to see the Beast do a hot lap complete with the banked turns.

Good thing it's not in Ohio...

Did they ever get it run? The OTA channel it's on here isn't coming in well enough today for me to watch it.

It says they are on lap 42. Must have been some serious rain delay. They must have just restarted recently as well because they are stacked up and three wide.

I went, it was totally awesome. Trump visiting and the Thunderbirds flying over doing various tricks was amazing. Air Force one did a fly over with a really tight bank turn.......,.all this alone was great. The downside was the weather. They ran 10 laps and stopped from 2:15 to 5:30 for rain, ran 3 more laps and stopped again until 6:30 then ran.......it was great, but we left at the end of the 2nd period around 9pm to drive back to Ft. Laud. I left my house at 6:30am, got to the track at 10:30am got inside the track at 12:30pm and to our seats before everything started, and didnt get home until 1 am and didn't even see the entire thing, had great seats in section 346 and could see straight down the track and the entire track............

I was hoping you would give an update. So glad you got to go. I was hurting for you with all the delays.

You left early? You missed three pileups in the last 16 laps including one car that reached launch speed. How long has NASCAR been demolition derby at 190mph?

Thought the race was great, too bad the weather delay kind of put a dent in the festivities, AF1 Flyover, Trump, Beast really got everyone going.

Daytona is something else, been a few times to the 500, but sitting in the man cave (garage) with my 100 Inch projection TV, a Tabernacle Cigar was excellent.

The wreck that sent Preece airborne was wild, they ran 3 wide for most of the race, Logano clearly had one of the fastest cars, just stuck his nose in too far and ended up in the big one at the end. Kyle Busch didn't think to much of Joeys move, I thought Stenhouse was just as much to blame trying to Block the 22 too late.

Last 4 laps, everyone is on the throttle 100%..

Highlight Reel...

It was a loooooooong day, left my house at 6:30am........didn't get home until about 1am and that was leaving the track at the end of the 2nd stage around 9pm, I would've loved to stay to the end, but then would have to fight the traffic of 90,000 people also trying to get out of the area too! I would've gotten a hotel nearby if my buddy didn't have to work the next day. I was exhausted after walking 6.1 miles........ all in all though, it was a breath taking event......the race itself was a 7 out of 10 on the fun factor but Trump and the Thunderbirds made it a 10/10 before the race even started!!!!!!!!!! It wasn't a race, it was an event.

One thing that really sucks about the speedway is there is almost NO seating inside........they could easily put benches along walls, but instead during the 3 hours of rain, everyone is stuck standing or sitting on the concrete........
