The biggest know-it-all in the world told me that a Glock was the only gun worth owning. That's the main reason why I don't own one.

BillFAnything that uses the word extreme in its product description. Spelling the word incorrectly "xtreme" or any other is a definite no go for that product.

Yep. I won't buy anything that's hawked on TV with direct mail/phone order commercials. Not only do I detest commercials in general, they tend to be low quality gimmicky products, and the whole over-the-top marketing approach annoys me.

apprenticeHate buying gasoline anywhere but a certain Holiday station.
Almost always a lower price even closer, but their location is just so handy to get in to and out of.

Same with me concerning the above.
I'll pop the box open to make sure the tooth paste has a flip top.

casI won't go in a store if there's people selling/fund raising whatever outside the front door. I just drive by.

I've been told the same thing by many people and also don't own a glock. Also I won't buy a Honda vehicle and am not really sure why.

Seems like 90% of the GM (GMC/Chevrolet) line of trucks & truck-based SUVs (Suburban, Yukon) that I see have one DRL not working.

ggileLiving in a small town we do not have many options for pizza, Pizza Hut being the main one. One evening I ordered a pizza to carry out and when I went in to pick it up and I started to make out a check, they advised me that they no longer accept checks. I told them that it was their loss, not mine, and walked out. I have never been back.

mrmn50OP, I do not find your not buying reasons stupid or dumb. To me they have to do with function.
Now if you did not buy because you did not like the pro advertiser because of their last role, well, maybe.

John SteedI stopped buying BIC pens / lighters when their ads began featuring John McEnroe. I don't know if they still do, but I will never buy any of their products.

Balzé HalzéI won't consider a cell phone if it doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
My options in that regard are getting more and more limited however.

I remember back when the first iPhone came out without a headphone jack, some guys posted a video of how to drill into the bottom of a brand new phone to plug in your headset. He was very detailed including the size of drill bit.
People tried it, too.

Every Apple comes with a 2" long adapter that plugs into the charging port and has a 3.5 mm head phone jack.

Jimmy, you can't possibly think I'm not aware of these adapters. Give me some credit. I want nothing to do with carrying some silly dongle.

FHHM213Amen on the hate of dongles and I’m using that term broadly.
An under-dash 8-track player installed in a lime green Firebird essentially equated to a dongle. The use of an FM modulator to connect the iPod to your car stereo was donglish.
A red dot sight is donglish. I get and appreciate the benefit but I’m waiting for it to be undongled. I lack the engineering mind to visualize how that will evolve but I trust it will.
