Keller's Riverside Gun Store in Mason, Texas - located on the western side of the Hill Country - some 95 miles from San Antonio and just south of Brady. Mason was the home of J. Marvin Hunter who published the well known book, 'The Trail Drivers of Texas,' a collection of narrative sketches of early cowboys by Geo. W. Saunders.

Listen to this actual radio gun store commercial in Texas. It's only a minute long, stay on, it gets really super at the end. This is a real commercial.

I spend a fair bit of time in Mason County, good honest country folks with little tolerance for bullshit.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. - Martin Niemöller

This is how it starts.
