Wingspar, I know exactly how you feel. Start that thread, there’s a number of us here who’ve dealt it, and the surgery. We also have a (recently retired, I believe) cardiologist here who is active and tends to post in the cardiac threads. If you have questions and you’d like input or some reassurance, this is great place to bring it up. You know you’re also welcome to email me any time if there’s anything I can do for you, just check my profile for my updated email address.

Thank you. I want to see my cardiologist before I start the thread. Last conversation with his nurse after they got the results from the last time I wore a heart monitor was about getting a electro physiologist involved. She said it could be a change in medication or an ablation, so I’d like a little more info before I start the thread. Heart surgery scares me.

Glad to hear todays episode wasn’t serious. The email notification of old dino’s post earlier made my heart skip a beat.

Great news Ed!

I guess that’s why they call it “practicing” medicine Wink

Have a safe move, too bad we weren’t able to get to the range.

Thanks, guys!

Yes, I take this as very good news. Also asked the neurologist about me driving down and whether it would be unsafe, she said I’d be fine, and to just be responsible and assess whether my vision was impaired enough to be a safety concern if it happens on the way down, and if so, just pull over until it passes.

Sacramento Johnson: I have never had a migraine. My wife gets them and I know how debilitating they can be, so I know I’ve never had one. As for imaging, the neurologist said the doc who read it at the third party imaging company remarked that it was blurry, and that the ER last week likely reacted out of an over abundance of caution, based on what he was looking at. Also, no other stroke symptoms, and the only stroke I had was repeated again a week later, which, if it were a clot/stroke the first time, the neurologist said it would incredibly unlikely to have resulted in be exact same symptoms this time.

She said that since I have the hole(s) in my heart, I need to stop very two hours or so and do some ankle and knee bends, walk around a bit just in case I did develop clots that migrate from my leg to my brain via the route we’ve been surmising. It remains a possibility, even though it should be remote. Basically, I get to stress about the upcoming days and weeks rather than all that plus my health, so this is a really good development.
