Excitable Boy

| ZSMICHAEL, do you have any friends or family that are local to you right now that you could call on for assistance?

| OP, call 911 again right now. Tell them you need an ambulance. Even if you can't talk, they should be able to geolocate your phone and send somebody out to check. Even if the issue is psychiatric and not medical, once they get you to the hospital they can screen you for the appropriate treatment. Does anybody have ZSMichael's address that they could call Gulfport PD and request a welfare check?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I did as well, probably several hours after you did. Hopefully Para has contact info, or somebody else here does and sees this.

Get Off My Lawn

| Hopefully ZSMICHAEL will be able to post again on his situation. And hopefully he is getting help.

He mentioned Gulfport, he used to list his location as Biloxi I believe, so that syncs. Especially if he's between the two (12 miles total).

Peace through superior firepower

| Police and EMS went to his house, checked him out, and left. The police are limited in their ability to respond in situations such as this. If ZSMICHAEL wants to commit himself, I assume he knows the necessary steps to initiate the process, since he is a retired mental healthcare professional. Since EMS left without taking any action, I assume he wants to just stay home.

| Concerning thread to start…..cry for help but as Para said….PD and EMS were there, evaluated and no action taken. Too many variables in these situations and with limited info it’s really hard to say what’s actually going on…..he sounds desperate and confused…

Thanks for following up, Para. If his situation doesn't meet the criteria for involuntary commitment, then it's up to him to make his own decision about how he seeks help. At least he's had the opportunity.
