Read the article. That's just bad writing placed under the picture, causing confusion. That's the picture of the store owner, not the winner. Q

Man, I've re-read that article several times, and I still don't see anything that says that's the shop owner in that pic. I do appreciate the correction, though. - - - - - ETA: After some scrolling on the stores Instagram page, I did finally see another pic of the shop owner, and yes, it's the guy in the article photo. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4WJZdsF-aM/ God bless America.

The shop isn't in L.A., it's in SLO...the article is from the LA Times. The shop owner drove the winner to Fresno to have his win verified The winner is identified as a homeless man, so I doubt he's looking for a ostentatious car or house. SLO isn't all that expensive for a college town and the Fresno area is considered the most affordable metropolitan area in CA No, Daoism isn't a religion

Well, hopefully, he turns his life around financially. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." The good thing is that the payout isn't really big enough for most folks to go hog-wild in buying stuff. Hopefully, he gets some financial advice to avoid increased taxes by "helping" other peopleThis message has been edited. Last edited by: 9mmepiphany, No, Daoism isn't a religion

Not LA, San Luis Obispo. Sandy’s Liquor is right downtown on Higuera. Not a lot of houses for $500k there either.
