I jokes about spending two years trying to get my infant Daughters to talk and ever since to shut up! Collecting dust.

Sheesh.... I had no idea. Blippi has been off the radar for a few months. Sick bastard is right. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

Things you should never teach your [new] kids to do: 1. Do not teach them how to talk. They will learn on their own and once they start, they will not stop. 2. Do not teach them to walk. They will learn on their own and once they do, they will never stop and you will not be able to sit down an relax. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. I have 2 daughters and a son. The oldest daughter, started talking a lot as soon as she cold make sound (thankfully she became more coherent). Very often, she talks non-stop. She will be 31 in October and has 2 bachelors degrees, 2 masters degrees, and a PHD in food science and is a senior chemist for E. & J. Gallo Winery. I sure do wish she lived across the street, or at least not in California.

The Main Thing Is Not To Get Excited |
Totally agree on talk. Disagree on walk. I want them to go get me stuff otherwise what's the point? Other than the truck loads of love they bring to the game, I mean. _______________________

Get my pies outta the oven! |
My two boys had found Blippi and were starting to get into that show but he always gave me a slightly creepy vibe and the wife eventually stopped letting them watch it. It has absolutely no educational or even entertainment value IMO whatsoever. Now my little girl who turns 3 in August has never watched it and never will. But she loves her Curious George and Bluey

As far as kid shows go, Bluey is pretty good. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan

I read this topic with envy. My youngest of three is a girl and 22 y/o. She just recently gave us our first grandchild(boy) exactly one month ago. She was and still is a chatterbox. I sure do miss those days when it was her and I, due to mom working shift work. Sigs P-220, P-226 9mm, & P-230SL (CCW)

I used to say that my granddaughter came and told me that she scraped her knee, by the time she quit telling me about it, it was already healed.

Three grandkids here: two girls 8 and 5 and a boy who is 2. On attaining grandparent status, we truly feel that “we have arrived.” They can indeed be fatiguing at times, especially when watching all three over a weekend or longer stretch. But a joy also. The oldest is definitely the biggest talker of the three. She is sharp - quick-witted and quite funny. She’s also developing a very caring heart and is the most sensitive of the three. The other two may just not be old enough to have developed those qualities yet. TV programs have been mentioned. “Bluey” and “Peppa Pig” are definitely among the favorites for our trio. I should also mention one we came across almost by accident: a BBC cartoon called “Sarah & Duck.” Very soothing, mostly low-key, and quite funny. It’s worth searching-out.
